Abstract: A leg stretcher used to stretch a user's hamstring muscles when the user is lying in a supine position. The leg stretcher including a conventional pulley suspended from any convenient support at a position above the user's head. A rope is threaded through the pulley, and at one end thereof has an adjustable stirrup to be placed around the user's ankle. The stirrup is adjustable in size to accommodate a particular user's ankle. The opposite end of the rope is then threaded through a cord lock and a handle bar with the cord lock fixedly attached to the handle bar. This end of the rope is then secured to an adjustment handle which is used to adjust the length of the rope and also prevents the rope from slipping through the handle bar.

Abstract: A fastening strap configured as a loop is securable between a door and its associated frame to provide structure for attachment of exercise or physical therapy equipment to the door structure for support. The fastening strap is formed from a flexible elongate strip of webbing with an enlarged end portion which in a first species comprises a rolled portion of the first end portion of the webbing material and in a second species is a separate resiliently deformable element. The webbing strip extends from the enlarged end portion to form a loop and pass back over the enlarged end portion for fastening of the second end to the loop portion of the strip. The second end and adjacent the strips forming the loop are fastened to each other spacedly adjacent the enlarged end portion.

Abstract: A handle for exercise devices provides a flexible cord having a loop formed in one end for slidable extension through a medial channel defined in a handle. The handle provides a diametrically larger knob-like structure proximate the inner end of the loop with a diametrically smaller elongate body extending a spaced distance away therefrom. The loop extending from the handle has a tubular cover about its medial portion to protect a user and provide frictional engagement with a wrist. The handle allows varying degrees of user gripping from a completely passive to a completely active type as determined by a user.

Abstract: An elongate flexible exercise weight releasably attachable about human limbs for exercise purposes provides a peripherally defined containment structure that is adjustably filled with water for selected, finely determinable weight. End tabs may be releasably fastened together to form the weight into a continuous band for maintenance on human limbs. The weight is peripherally defined by a fluid impervious membrane that has baffle means in its interior chamber to allow filling from a single orifice but inhibit rapid motion of substantial amounts of fluid responsive to motion of the exercise device.
