Abstract: A state-of-charge (SOC) display system includes a battery, a brake light array including multiple lighting elements, and an SOC module. The SOC module is configured to receive a battery status signal including an SOC of the battery. The SOC module is further configured to output a display signal to the brake light array based on the battery status signal. The brake light array is configured to receive the display signal, and illuminate at least a subset of the lighting elements for displaying the SOC of the battery by the brake light array, in response to the display signal.

Abstract: A self-retaining trim member secured to an interior panel of the vehicle. The self-retaining trim member is a glass laminate member having a glass layer, a resin layer and a glass layer. The trim member also includes a tether having one end disposed in the resin layer and another end secured to the body of the vehicle. The trim member may include an embedded switch that senses touch and transfers a signal to a controller in order to control a desired operation.

Abstract: A drive selector assembly arranged on a console of a vehicle for selecting a transmission gear from a plurality of transmission gears includes a housing; a gear selector control arranged in the housing, the gear selector control having a plurality of switches for selecting a transmission gear of the plurality of gears of the vehicle; and at least one visual indicator provided on the console, the at least one visual indicator coupled to the gear selector control for providing a visual indication of the selected transmission gear.

Abstract: An interior armrest for an automotive vehicle includes upper and lower horizontal walls and a channel-shaped lateral impact contactor joined to the upper horizontal walls by the means of shear planes. The lateral impact contactor has a number of wedge-shaped vertical interruptions which cooperate with the shear planes to produce a controlled collapse in the event of a lateral impact of an occupant of the vehicle against the armrest.
