  • Publication number: 20220186397
Abstract: A container such as a barrel or drum is provided for processing of solid material or parts with a liquid. The container is designed with grooves leading to holes or slots in the side that draw liquid into the container due to the rotation of the container when it is immersed in a tank of liquid. The holes or slots have a small dimension in the direction of rotation to minimize the probability of solid material coming out of the container. The fluid flow caused by the rotation serves to increase the rate of solution replacement inside the container as well as to keep the solid material from falling out through the holes or slots. The container disclosed is useful in processes in the plating, etching, leaching, and surface finishing industries.

  • Publication number: 20210332924
Abstract: Insertion fitting/coupler devices for coupling to a flowpath, and methods of using such insertion fitting/coupler devices, are disclosed. The insertion fitting/coupler devices include a coupler that includes a through hole and a stem portion. The insertion fitting/coupler devices also include a nut that includes a through hole, a rim and a body portion. The insertion fitting/coupler devices further include a body member that includes a through hole and an outer flange. The body member extends into the through hole of the coupler such that an end of the stem portion of the coupler engages the outer flange of the body member. An inner side of the body portion of the nut engages with an outer surface of the stem portion of the coupler such that the flange is secured between the rim of the coupler and the end of the stem portion of the coupler.

  • Patent number: 8402998
Abstract: Systems and method for delivering materials to a tool are disclosed. A material delivery system utilizes two or more sources of the material to be delivered to the tool. One or more of the sources of the tool may be a batch mixer. The material delivery system also includes at least two material delivery recirculation lines providing material to at tool. The material delivery system may be manually or automatically controlled to switch supply of the material from one source to another, and/or to switch from one material delivery recirculation line to another.

  • Patent number: 8308845
Abstract: Systems and methods for processing high purity materials are disclosed. A unit operation processes a material stream, an operational parameter of the unit operation is monitored, and a standby unit is charged with pressurized gas to achieve system pressure. The material stream is diverted to the standby unit in response to the operational parameter of the unit operation registering a threshold value. Flow exiting the standby unit is first vented via an outlet, and then directed toward a point of use after the pressurized gas has been purged. The unit operation may then be serviced and subsequently brought back online. A second unit operation may process a second material stream simultaneously, and the second material stream may be periodically diverted to the standby unit in like manner, thus reducing line pressure variation. The disclosed method may be performed manually or implemented automatically through use of a controller.

  • Publication number: 20090167526
Abstract: A lockbox can comprise one or more sensors for detecting tampering with one or more portions of the lockbox. For example, in some embodiments the one or more sensors are configured to detect cutting or breaking of the shackle (or other portion of the lockbox) configured to secure the lockbox to another object. As a result of detecting tampering, a wireless communication device coupled to the lockbox transmits a notification to a monitoring station. Some embodiments of the lockbox perform detection and transmission of lockbox position data.

  • Patent number: 6137651
Abstract: Disclosed is a disk drive having a linear actuator for carrying read/write heads into engagement with a recording medium. The heads are mounted on a carriage assembly along with a voice coil motor for driving the carriage assembly into and out of engagement of the heads with the medium. The carriage assembly slides linearly on a central guide track. A flexure is provided for the central guide track for linear movement by the carriage assembly so that initial linear movement of the carriage assembly is by flexing the flexure and further, larger linear movement of the carriage assembly is by sliding along the guide track. In one form of the invention the central guide track is suspended at the front end by a flexure and at the rear end by a bearing. In another form of the invention the central guide track is suspended at each end by a flexure. The flexure has an attaching mechanism for attaching the flexure to the central guide track so that the flexure pivots freely on the central guide track.
