  • Publication number: 20240117943
Abstract: A system, device, and method for detecting leaks near an emitter is disclosed. The method includes (i) receiving, from one or more mobile sensors, a first stream of information indicative of a leak state, (ii) determining that an initial leak state exists based at least in part on the first stream of information indicative of the leak state, (iii) receiving a second stream of information indicative of a no-leak state, (iv) using a statistical model to determine that the leak state has ended based at least in part on the first stream of information and the second stream of information, (v) receiving a third stream of information indicative of the leak state, and (vi) determining that a new leak state exists, wherein the new leak state is a distinct leak state from the initial leak state.

  • Publication number: 20070244859
Abstract: A method, system, and software of relating structured data to unstructured data includes displaying unstructured data in a first display area and displaying structured data related to the unstructured data in a second display area. In response to a change in the display of one of the unstructured data in the first display area or the structured data in the second display area, automatically dynamically changing the display in the other of the first display area or the second display area to display changed data based on its relation to the changed data in the one of the first display area or the second display area.

  • Patent number: 6988468
Abstract: An indexing style Automatic Port Cleaner for cleaning furnace combustion air ports employs multiple cleaning tips and rods enclosed substantially in a furnace windbox. An extension bar enclosed substantially in a furnace windbox to which the cleaning rods are attached with the extension bar carries the cleaning rods and tips in a translating and indexing motion. An extension bar is supported by two fulcrum rods and in turn supported by two fulcrum tubes and two fulcrum housings, the fulcrum housings being supported by a faceplate and fixed relative to the combustion air ports. The fulcrum rods translate relative to the fulcrum tubes while the fulcrum tubes rotate relative to the fulcrum housings. A linear actuator is disposed to create a reciprocating translating motion of the fulcrum rods, extension bar, cleaning rods, and cleaning tips. Indexing creates rotation of the fulcrum tubes, fulcrum rods, extension bar, cleaning rods, and cleaning tips, in a reciprocating fashion about the fulcrum housings.

  • Patent number: 5791887
Abstract: A scroll compressor (10) is disclosed which includes a fixed scroll element (12) and an orbiting scroll element (14). Each of the scroll elements has a planar surface (18, 24) extending from the wrap on the element to the peripheral edge of the element. A relief area (56) is formed in each of the scroll elements through the planar surface to move the effective pivot point of the intermediate pressure force counteracting the tangential gas force radially inwardly toward the centerline of the scroll elements. A reduction in friction forces is the result, as well as a decrease in the time necessary to work in the scroll elements.

  • Patent number: 5349654
Abstract: A data exchange system for use in a system that includes a plurality of redundant channels (12). A data exchange unit (30) is provided to process data, ensuring that consistent data are used by each of the channels. The data exchange unit votes the data so that an output is provided that is identical in non-faulty channels. The data exchange units communicate over an inter-channel net that includes a consistency port (160), which serves as a separate second fault containment region for each channel, enabling the data exchange system to be Byzantine resilient. If input data are provided by a single one of the redundant channels, the data are distributed to each of the data exchange units for all channels in the system using two rounds of communication. However, if nominally identical data are input to each of the data exchange units in the redundant channels, a single round of communication and a simple voting process are used to determine a consistent output for each channel.

  • Patent number: 4979191
Abstract: A fault tolerant clock system in which synchronization of the clocks continuing to operate after a fault occurs is maintained within a skew limit. The clock system includes a plurality of clock channels (10), each including a clock unit (12) and an isolation port (14). A local clock signal produced by a crystal oscillator (16) is enabled to provide a clock channel output signal while a counter (24) in the clock unit accumulates a predetermined number of local clock pulses. After the predetermined number is reached, the counter disables the clock channel output signal and produces a sync pulse, which is input to a voter block (48). In response to the second sync pulse to be received from each of the clock channels, each voter block produces a load pulse signal that is input to the isolation port of that clock channel. Corresponding isolated load signals are produced by the isolation port and provided to voter blocks (72) in each of the clock units.
