Publication number: 20210294909Abstract: A computer-enabled system and method that provides for real-time escalation of user privileges and real-time creation of rules for managing requests for privilege on a computer resource by a local or remote Approver, System Administrator, organization, or other responsible entity is disclosed. A computer is monitored for privilege restriction events which notifies a local or remote Approver, System Administrator, organization or other responsible entity. Upon detection of such an event, the system determines the identity of the trigger item that initiated the event. Based on information pertaining to the initiating trigger item along with other computer system state information an Approver remotely evaluates the computer along with the request(s) for privilege and approves or denies the request(s) in real-time.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2019Publication date: September 23, 2021Applicant: SuperUser Software, Inc.Inventors: David Sibiski, Jr., Todd Jones

Patent number: 10681343Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to closed caption corruption detection and reporting. In accordance with one aspect disclosed herein, a system can ingest a digital video channel bitstream. The system can locate a digital closed caption flag in the digital video channel bitstream. The digital closed caption flag can indicate that a digital closed caption content packet is present within the digital video channel bitstream. The system can determine that at least a portion of the digital closed caption content packet cannot be rendered to display closed caption content associated with at least the portion of the digital closed caption content packet. The system can instantiate an alert based on the determination that at least the portion of the digital closed caption content packet cannot be rendered to display the closed caption content associated with at least the portion of the digital closed caption content packet.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2017Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: AT&T Intellectual Property I, L.P.Inventor: Todd Jones

Publication number: 20160302547Abstract: A curling iron providing angular adjustment of a heatable wand to a handle is disclosed. The curling iron comprises a pivot joint between the elongated handle and the elongated heatable wand. A manual detent is biased to constrain the pivot joint against rotation, thereby locking the elongated heatable wand in a selected position relative to the handle, and to release the wand for adjustment to another position. Release and adjustment may be performed by operating a manual control to release the pivot joint and rotating a wheel of the pivot joint to adjust angle of the wand relative to the handle. Alternatively, a single manual control can be manipulated to both release the pivot joint and also adjust the angle of the wand.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2016Publication date: October 20, 2016Inventor: Todd Jones

Publication number: 20140082972Abstract: This invention incorporates a rotating spindle inside the high heel of a dress shoe, which transforms the downward heel impact into rotational energy, thus absorbing the impact while massaging the foot. The spindle is visible from the outside of the heel and has decorative crystals, lights or other eye catching ornamentation to attract attention when the spindle rotates. The rotating spindle also passes vibrations through the wearer's skeletal system for a soothing effect.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2012Publication date: March 27, 2014Inventor: Todd Jones

Publication number: 20140068967Abstract: A shoe or footwear insert pad is configured to fit over at least part of the forward portion of the sole, extending under the toes and ball of a wearer's foot. The pad has an upper face, a lower face, a forward edge, a rear edge, and inner and outer edges, with the inner and outer edges conforming to the shape of corresponding inner and outer edges of the sole of the footwear. A foot stop bar or rib on the inner face of the pad extends in a selected, at least partially curved path from the inner edge to the outer edge configured to match the curve of the space at the base of a wearer's toes where the toes meet the remainder of the foot. In one example, the position of the foot stop bar on the pad is adjustable for wearers' having different foot sole topographies.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 10, 2012Publication date: March 13, 2014Inventor: Todd Jones

Patent number: 7786421Abstract: The present invention relates to curved focal plane arrays. More specifically, the present invention relates to a system and method for making solid-state curved focal plane arrays from standard and high-purity devices that may be matched to a given optical system. There are two ways to make a curved focal plane arrays starting with the fully fabricated device. One way, is to thin the device and conform it to a curvature. A second way, is to back-illuminate a thick device without making a thinned membrane. The thick device is a special class of devices; for example devices fabricated with high purity silicon. One surface of the device (the non VLSI fabricated surface, also referred to as the back surface) can be polished to form a curved surface.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 2004Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Assignee: California Institute of TechnologyInventors: Shouleh Nikzad, Michael Hoenk, Todd Jones

Patent number: 7722442Abstract: Two counter-rotating, intermeshing, toothed wheels grind opposite sides of an interposed blade to create or burrlessly sharpen a knife-edge on the blade. The wheels can be solid or comprised of a fixed stack of toothed disks, concentrically aligned, the teeth of each succeeding disk angularly offset in a common direction from the teeth of the next preceding disk to create a wheel having a plurality of uniform, elongated composite teeth around the circumference of the stack, the teeth being angled from the wheel's axis. Two such wheels, one with teeth angled in an opposite direction, can be counter-rotated and because of the oppositely angled teeth, are capable of intermeshing. The degree of intermeshing can be selectively varied to correspondingly vary the sharpening angle. The apex ridges of both the solid and composite teeth can be selectively profiled to sharpen non-uniformly, e.g. serrating a blade edge.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2003Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: GT Knives, Inc.Inventor: Todd Jones
