  • Patent number: 9565855
Abstract: Animal attractant compositions, devices, systems and methods that can be deployed to attract game animals, such as deer by stimulating several of the animal's senses to attract animals to a desired location. The invention can use a combination of ultraviolet brighteners for visual interest and one or more of deer urine based scents, foods, mineral or salt. The invention capitalizes on the link between many animals' ability to see ultraviolet light with their desire to visualize urine territory markers left by other animals of the same species.

  • Patent number: 8522767
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods preventing transfer of vibration from a bowstring, crossbow string or buss cable(s) and simultaneously silences the components from making audible noise. At least one finger with a longitudinal friction contact surface and/or integral brush combination can be mounted adjacent to the strings/cable(s) when in neutral at-rest positions. Upon release, the bowstring, crossbow string or buss cable(s) can travel along a path parallel to the rigid finger to rub against a longitudinal friction contact surface and/or through brush bristles. Kinetic energy of the strings/cables are transferred to the bristles or contact surface without inducing any vibration in the bow or crossbow, and the strings/cable(s) quickly returns to at-rest positions without audible vibration.

  • Patent number: 8276576
Abstract: The invention is a system that prevents the transfer of vibration from a bowstring to a bow riser and simultaneously silences the bowstring from making audible noise. The invention mounts to the riser of a bow or crossbow and disposes at.least one rigid finger and integral brush combination adjacent to the bowstring when the bowstring is in the neutral at-rest position. Upon release, the bowstring travels along a path parallel to the rigid finger and through the brush bristles. Kinetic energy of the bowstring is transferred to the brush bristles without inducing any vibration in the bow riser, and the bowstring quickly returns to the at-rest position without audible vibration.

  • Publication number: 20110138674
Abstract: A deployable device is used to attract animals to a desired location using a combination of ultraviolet brighteners for visual interest and one or more of scent, salt, and motion. The invention capitalizes on the link between many animals' ability to see ultraviolet light with their desire to investigate excretions or secretions, such as urine or pre-orbital secretions, left by other animals of the same species as territory markers.

  • Patent number: 7654033
Abstract: The invention is a storage system for fishing lures and fishing tools that can be mounted to a vehicle such as a boat, prevents the lures and tools from becoming entangled or unintentionally dislodged, and yet provides easy and immediate accessibility for the user. A key feature of the present invention is the means for securing the fishing lures. Individual lures are isolated from each other and from dislodgement during the rough motion of a fishing boat at speed. Special tortuous slots retain the tackle hooks until deliberate removal by an angler for use. Another key feature of the present invention is the means for securing commonly used fishing tools, such as pliers, wire cutters, or hook disgorgers, against dislodgement. The tools are held in place by rubber grommets. This means resists tool dislodgement during the rough motion of a fishing boat at speed, yet it also provides easy access to the angler.

  • Publication number: 20080067206
Abstract: The invention is a storage system that can be easily stowed inside a vehicle or securely, and removably, mounted to a surface of the vehicle. The storage system includes a means for securing the storage system to the vehicle surface and a low profile which enables the storage system to be deployed while presenting a minimum inconvenience or hazard for the user who may be preoccupied with other activities.

  • Patent number: 7125231
Abstract: A two-shot injection mold employs a cam pin/slide actuation to open and close the mold, and is configured to leave the mold closed after the first shot and to open it only after the second shot, employing open-topped cam slide channels and two different cam pin configurations to effect the operation.

  • Publication number: 20060194658
Abstract: Disclosed is a broadhead arrowhead. The broadhead arrowhead includes a ferrule, one end portion of which is tapered to a substantial point. One or more blade assemblies extend outwardly from the ferrule. Each blade assembly has a first substantially planar main surface portion disposed in a plane at least substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the ferrule and a second surface portion having a planar region offset at an angle to the plane of the main surface portion. A generally continuously curved region is disposed between and connecting the first and second substantially planar portions, such that the blade assembly has an airfoil-type shape.

  • Publication number: 20060084535
Abstract: The present invention is a turbine tip arrowhead, used either strictly as a field point or as the forwardmost tip in conjunction with any prior art broadhead assembly. The key feature of this turbine tip is the geometry, which includes a tapered tip and a plurality of helical rifles, consisting of either grooves or ridges, beginning at the tip of the field point and spiraling back towards the aft end. All rifles spiral in the same rotational direction giving the appearance of a turbine. This turbine tip design provides excellent rotation of the arrow shaft during flight without producing a large amount of aerodynamic drag. The invention is compatible with all contemporary arrow shafts and with all contemporary broadhead assemblies. A novel broadhead assembly utilizing the turbine tip and deployable blades to produce axial rotation is also described.
