  • Patent number: 11972236
Abstract: A method for compiling and executing a nested loop includes initializing a nested loop controller with an outer loop count value and an inner loop count value. The nested loop controller includes a predicate FIFO. The method also includes coalescing the nested loop and, during execution of the coalesced nested loop, causing the nested loop controller to populate the predicate FIFO and executing a get predicate instruction having an offset value, where the get predicate returns a value from the predicate FIFO specified by the offset value. The method further includes predicating an outer loop instruction on the returned value from the predicate FIFO.

  • Publication number: 20240099400
Abstract: A protective clothing equipment is provided that is comfortable, stabilizing, and compatible with varying types of surfaces. One embodiment of the protective clothing equipment includes a shell, padding disposed in front of the knee of the wearer, the padding including a non-uniform stiffness.

  • Publication number: 20240086193
Abstract: A nested loop controller includes a first register having a first value initialized to an initial first value, a second register having a second value initialized to an initial second value, and a third register configured as a predicate FIFO, initialized to have a third value. The second value is advanced in response to a tick instruction during execution of a loop. In response to the second value reaching a second threshold, the second register is reset to the initial second value. The nested loop controller further includes a comparator coupled to the second register and to the predicate FIFO and configured to provide an outer loop indicator value as input to the predicate FIFO when the second value is equal to the second threshold, and provide an inner loop indicator value as input to the predicate FIFO when the second value is not equal to the second threshold.

  • Patent number: 6470835
Abstract: An exhaust gas heat recuperation system for use with a boiler is disclosed. The heat recuperation system includes a plate-type heat exchanger for exhaust gas heat recovery for exchanging heat between an exhaust gas and a charge gas. The heat exchanger preferably includes a series of exhaust gas plates stacked alternately with, and parallel to, a series of charge gas plates. Each of the exhaust gas plates and charge gas plates have raised contained ridges to form a substantially sinusoidal path for directing the respective gas therealong. The shape of the path reduces exhaust gas particulate deposition. The charge gas flows in a countercurrent to the exhaust gas to facilitate maximum heat transfer. The heat exchange is particularly useful in laminar flow conditions.

  • Patent number: 6158743
Abstract: A hub seal for installation on the wheel end of a heavy duty trailer or truck is disclosed which includes an annular casing having a radially outer surface configured to sealingly engage an accommodating surface of a wheel hub mounted for rotation about a stationary spindle shaft, and an annular wear ring mounted coaxial with the annular casing and having a radially inner surface configured to sealingly engage an outer periphery of a stationary spindle shaft. The sealing surface of the annular wear ring includes structure for providing radial torque resistance between the annular wear ring and the stationary spindle shaft and for limiting installation loads associated with installing the annular wear ring on the stationary spindle shaft. Similarly, the sealing surface of the annular casing includes structure for providing radial torque resistance between the annular casing and the wheel hub and for limiting installation loads associated with installing the annular casing in the wheel hub.

  • Patent number: 4653759
Abstract: The disclosure is of a three-person chess game and board having a central playing area in the form of an equilateral triangle bordered at each of its three sides by a rectangular playing field or area having at least two rows of eight squares each according to at least part of the conventional chess or checker board. Each rectangular field is contiguous with its side of the triangle and moves are made from the rectangle into the triangle and subsequently into either of the other rectangles according to prescribed rules. At least some of the moves are dictated by an element of chance, such as the roll of one die. The rectangles are identical and three conventional chess sets are used, albeit these may be of contrasting colors as may be the markings of the chess board squares as well as the smaller triangles into which the basic central triangle is subdivided.
