Abstract: Techniques are disclosed to provide a service and generate, at the location of a remote output device, a permanent record of the service. In these techniques, before generating the permanent record, data necessary to provide the service and data necessary to provide the permanent record are processed by at least one remote server. A request for the service and the data necessary to provide the service are received, from a communications device such as a telephone or a computer, at a receiving center. The data necessary to provide the service are processed to generate data required for service. The data required for the service and other store data are processed, at a remote server, to generate input data for a specific output device. The input data for the specific output device is transmitted to the output device and rendered as a permanent record of the service.
