  • Patent number: 10406358
Abstract: A device to relieve pain in the body of humans by inducing a controlled positive/negative electric charge at the painful site. Providing enhanced transport and targeted delivery of pain relieving classifications of drugs including nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) and steroid drug compounds (corticosteroids), and important intrinsic anti-inflammatory agents. A shielded transmission electrode applies alternating positive and/or negative charge stimulating or repressing the enhanced delivery or repression of drugs to the injury site for increased therapeutic treatment dependent on known therapeutic properties of so prescribed drugs inputted to a charge generating micro-controller.

  • Patent number: 6890322
Abstract: A securing device for a catheter that preferably includes a guard that covers a patient's upper or lower teeth and a latch mounted on the guard for releasably immobilizing a catheter with respect to the guard. The guard preferably includes (or is attached to) a wedge, which contacts the patient's molars to prevent the guard from shifting in the patient's mouth and assists in keeping the patients teeth apart.

  • Patent number: 6755191
Abstract: A securing device for an endotracheal tube preferably includes a shield having an opening through which the endotracheal tube can pass and a clamp mounted on the shield for holding the endotracheal tube. A bite block for preventing occlusion of the endotracheal tube by a patient's teeth may be mounted on an opposite surface of the shield from the clamp.

  • Patent number: 6533761
Abstract: A device for securing a catheter with respect to a patient's mouth that preferably includes a balloon that can be inflated within the patient's mouth on the exterior of the catheter, a bite block, and a shield. The balloon preferably immobilizes the catheter with respect to the securing device when inflated while permitting relative movement of the catheter and the securing device when deflated. The balloon preferably also prevents inadvertent withdrawal of the securing device from the patient's mouth when inflated while permitting withdrawal when deflated. The invention preferably includes a method for using such a securing device.
