    Abstract: A vehicular blind spot detection system for alerting a driver of a motor vehicle to an object in a blind spot zone of the vehicle includes a sensor configured to detect the presence of an object proximate to the vehicle in the blind spot zone. A first indicator is disposed on an outside rearview assembly and is configured to indicate that an object is in the blind spot zone of the vehicle. A controller is operably coupled with at least one of the sensor and the first indicator, wherein the controller may be activated and deactivated by a user. A second indicator is disposed proximate the first indicator and is configured to indicate that the controller has been deactivated.
