Abstract: Interactive analysis of data objects within a display includes displaying icons representing different data objects on a graphic display device at each of a plurality of unique locations within a multi-dimensional relational structure as a function of unique respective values of dimensions of a display data variable that is relevant to the display structure and common to each of the data objects represented by the icons, and wherein the icons each have initial respective graphic display appearances. Selecting an icon specifies a comparison data variable common to the data objects, wherein graphic display appearances of each of the icons are updated at their same, unique locations to revised dimensional graphic display appearances that visually indicate relationships of respective values of the selected common comparison data variable of their represented data objects to a value of the selected common comparison data variable of the data object represented by the selected icon.

Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying blade chassis data are provided. One system includes a memory for storing computer code comprising a blade chassis information module and a processor capable of being in communication with a blade chassis. The processor, when executing the computer code comprising the blade chassis information module, is configured to receive the blade chassis data, create a user interface for the blade chassis data, and display the blade chassis data on the user interface. One method includes receiving blade chassis data, creating a user interface for the blade chassis data, and displaying the blade chassis data on the user interface. User interaction with a user interface element based on user input, is monitored. Abstract: A quick access display with a small screen is physically attached to the outside of a laptop computer. Selected and key information in formatted display frames is electronically pushed to the quick access display by an application program loaded to run on the laptop computer's operating system. The formatted display frames are communicated over a universal serial bus (USB), or wirelessly by radio frequency identification (RFID) chips, BLUETOOTH, or IEEE-802.11 Wi-Fi. Operating power for the quick access display is provided by long-life watch batteries and the electronics are implemented in low power MOS technologies.

Abstract: The present invention concerns methods and apparatus for enabling manual control over selection of a value for at least one operating parameter of a computer system resource. Manual control is enabled by de-coupling a pointer of a graphical indicator and control from an automated system advisor. During automated operation, the automated system advisor selects the value for the parameter of the computer system resource as indicated on a scale of the graphical indicator and control by the pointer. When the pointer of the graphical indicator is under manual control, a user can select the value of the at least one operating parameter of the computer system resource using the pointer of the graphical indicator and control. The present invention also concerns methods and apparatus for disabling manual control over selection of a value for at least one operating parameter of a computer system resource by re-coupling the pointer to an automated system advisor.
