  • Publication number: 20230298449
Abstract: Techniques and examples pertaining to a tracking method using a two-component tracking device are described. The tracking device includes two components paired with one another: a first component that is specific to a subject the tracking device is intended to track, and a second component that is generic. The second component is capable of establishing a wireless connection with a cellular network, as well as collecting location information of the second component itself. The tracking method involves receiving from the cellular network a set of requirements associated with the subject, and triggering an action based on the set of requirements and the location information collected. The tracking method enables tracking of multiple subjects without a pairing mistake. Namely, a mismatch between multiple subjects to be tracked and multiple tracking devices intended to track the subjects can be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20230131112
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel automatic stall latch device. The device is a secure, automatic latch for stall doors that house livestock, but can be retrofitted to any sliding door. The device comprises a locking plate and a wedge that the locking plate slides over to lock the door. A narrow rod is then installed on the side of the sliding door to operate the automatic latch. The locking plate is bolted to the top of the stall or sliding door and operated via the narrow rod that runs down the side of the door. The rod can be actuated to open the stall door. When the door is closed, the locking plate automatically connects to the wedge component that bolts to the top of the stall wall next to the closed door.

  • Patent number: 7957133
Abstract: An electronic system includes a chassis, an air flow distribution assembly having a first set of baffles disposed within an intake volume of the chassis and a second set of baffles disposed in proximity to an air outlet of the chassis. The first set of baffles is configured to turn the flow of an air stream approximately 90 degrees, relative to an inlet flow direction of the air stream, toward circuit boards disposed within the chassis. The second set of baffles is configured as a flow splitter that receives the air stream from the circuit boards and partitions the air stream into separate portions prior to the air stream exiting via the air outlet. The use of both the first and second set of baffles redirects and distributes the air stream, flowing into the air inlet, in a substantially even manner across the circuit board component mounting surfaces of the circuit boards disposed within the system.

  • Patent number: 7150653
Abstract: An apparatus is configured to contain a transceiver module. The apparatus includes a support member defining a space to receive the transceiver module. The support member has a front portion which forms a front of the support member and a mounting portion which is configured to physically and electrically connect with a circuit board. The apparatus further includes a face plate which attaches to the front portion of the support member. The face plate defines an opening through which the transceiver module passes when the transceiver module enters and exits the space. The apparatus further includes an electromagnetic interference shielding clip which installs around the face plate. The electromagnetic interference shielding clip includes four side portions which define hinges along mid-lines of the side portions. Actuation of the hinges enables the electromagnetic interference shielding clip to conveniently and easily install around the face plate.

  • Patent number: 5799286
Abstract: An automated activity-based management system and method (10) for making thereof are provided. A business organization has costs associated with its employees, facilities, equipment, and overhead to produce products or provide services. Such a business organization typically generates traditional general ledger accounting information (152) and human resources information (150). This traditional accounting information (150, 152, 154) is used along with information directed to activities, equipment usage and facilities utilization to generate costs associated with activities performed by the organization. A computer workstation (40) with a graphical user interface (42) is used to accept entries of activity information (74). The activity information and traditional accounting information are fed to a relational database (12). The information is processed and costs associated with the employee, facilities, equipment, and overhead components (20, 22, 24, 26) of activities are computed.
