  • Patent number: 10778548
Abstract: In general, embodiments of the technology relate to determining availability of workloads executing on a multi-tenant system on a per-tenant basis. More specifically, embodiments of the technology determine workload availability by taking into account maintenance schedules of the workloads (or the underlying physical cloud infrastructure) and/or whether a given workload is redundant.

  • Patent number: 10264058
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system for defining enterprise applications operating in virtual datacenter. Application templates may be created containing the necessary information for provisioning and securing virtual applications in a tenant's virtual datacenter. The templates may define roles, service accounts, and scripts necessary for the datacenter to operate.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 10042657
Abstract: A method for provisioning a virtual datacenter application is discussed. A request may be received from a tenant for a virtual datacenter application. An application template may be identified and associated with the virtual datacenter application, wherein the application template can comprise a role, a service account, a script, and a workload. The role and the service account can be added to an active directory organization associated with the tenant. The workload can be cloned into a virtual datacenter, wherein the virtual datacenter belongs to the tenant. A script can be executed on the workload according to an execution order organized over multiple additional workloads, wherein a first script can be executed on a first workload before a second script is executed on a second workload, wherein the first script can be different from the second script, wherein the first workload can be different from the second workload.

  • Patent number: 9323820
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system for recovering virtual datacenters in the event of a disaster. Virtual datacenter may be replicated in real time between hosting locations. One virtual datacenter may be active at a first hosting locations and a replica virtual datacenter may be inactive at a second hosting location. In the event of a disaster taking the virtual datacenter offline, its replica may be activated and user traffic redirected appropriately.

  • Patent number: 9282142
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system for operating virtual datacenters. The disclosure describes a system in which virtual datacenters may be self contained logical units. These units may contain workloads comprising one or more virtual machines. This can allow for enhanced portability to a variety of hosting environments, and may allow the virtual datacenters to be transferred between environments. Virtual datacenters may be in communication with a gateway server prior to transfer, and may maintain this communication following the transfer.

  • Patent number: 9058336
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system for managing virtual datacenters. The disclosure describes a system in which virtual datacenters may be self contained logical units. These units may be managed from a central management tool. This management tool is able to manage the virtual datacenters from any location. If the virtual datacenters are moved, the tool maintains communications with them.

  • Patent number: 8769058
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a system for operating virtual datacenters. The disclosure describes a system in which virtual datacenters may be self contained logical units. These units may contain workloads comprised of one or more virtual machines. The virtual machines may include software solutions, and may be configured to interface with each other. The workloads may be provisioned to different virtual datacenters at a user's request using a central management tool.
