Abstract: An improved mobility scooter comprising a frame, an adjustable seat, a plurality of wheels coupled to the frame, and handlebars coupled to the frame. The handlebars can be folded downward to provide a compact configuration of the apparatus for travel, storage or other space restrictions. In another aspect, the improved mobility scooter further comprises a locking mechanism in its wheel casters, thereby providing for the selective configuration of the wheels in a fixed position with respect to the frame. In yet another aspect, a method of assisted mobility for an operator is described.
