Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for sealing, baffling or reinforcing. According to the method, a carrier member is provided having an expandable material disposed thereon. The carrier member is attached to a fastener having a flexible portion and at least one elongated member. The fastener is interference fit through an opening in an article of manufacture (e.g., an automotive vehicle) followed by expanding the expandable material for providing sealing, baffling or reinforcement to the article of manufacture.
