Abstract: A power tool element indicating system (100) comprises a detection device (102) in communication with a replaceable and/or adjustable element (104), such as a blade, a chain or other element, of a power tool (106), to determine that the replaceable and/or adjustable element of the power tool requires replacement or adjustment. The system comprises an indicator (108), such as a LED, or a display, or other indicator, in communication with the detection device to indicate to a user that the replaceable and/or adjustable element requires replacement or adjustment.

Abstract: A hedge trimmer, comprising: a drive motor disposed in a casing; a gear mechanism disposed in the casing and connected to the drive motor; and a blade arrangement having at least one cutter bar. The at least one cutter bar is driven in a reciprocating manner in a longitudinal direction of the blade arrangement by the drive motor via the gear mechanism. The gear mechanism contains at least a first gear setting and a second gear setting producing two different gear-ratios, such that the at least one cutter bar is adapted to be driven at a first speed and torque using the first gear setting, and a second speed and torque different from the first speed using the second gear setting. By providing two different trimming output modes, the hedge trimmer may provide either a high-speed/small-torque trimming capability or a low-speed/large-torque trimming capability to accommodate requirements under different operation circumstances.

Abstract: An electric power washer contains a main body having a pump and an electric power source, a hose, a handle, and a control circuit. The hose contains a first end fluidly-connected to the pump and a second end fluidly-connected to the handle, which has a button operatively-connected to the control circuit, which is operatively-connected to the pump and the electric power source. The control circuit controls the pump output and contains a timer. The control circuit permits the pump to normally operate at up to 100% normal power. However, when the button is activated, the control circuit permits the pump to operate at a boost power mode of from about 103% normal power to about 300% normal power. The control circuit intermittently pulses the boost power mode and terminates the boost power mode after a predetermined period of time or when the button is no longer activated, whichever is shorter.

Abstract: A safety item, which may be a safety glove, contains a wireless device for communicating with a wireless receiver in a tool. When the safety item is too far away from the tool, then the tool will not activate and therefore children and others who may be present around the tool are less likely to inadvertently injure themselves. Such a system improves tool safety for the user and those around them.
