Abstract: A re-closeable folded container includes a hexahedral base including a front panel and a rear panel, a cover pivotally connected with an upper edge of a rear panel for movement between an open position and a closed position, and a locking panel hingedly connected with an upper edge of the front panel. The front panel includes a tear-away portion defined by a score line. The locking panel includes a first tab, a second tab, and a tear-away portion defined by score lines. The tear-away portion of the locking panel is fixedly attached to both the front portion of the cover and the tear-away portion of the front panel such that initial movement of the cover from the closed position toward the open position causes the locking panel and the front panel to tear along the score lines and causes both tear-away portions to pivotally move with the cover.

Abstract: A reclosable container made of a semi-rigid paperboard material or the like has a lower component with a bottom panel and an upstanding side wall and an upper component or lid that is pivotally connected to the lower component along one edge thereof. An opposite edge of the lid component has a tab formed therein which can be punched out and folded inwardly relative to the lid to releasably engage a horizontal extension or catch formed along the corresponding top edge of the lower component of the container.

Abstract: An apparatus for folding and filling a plurality of cartons erected from a plurality of collapsed carton tubes includes an end flap alignment device attached to the conveying and folding mechanism of the apparatus. The end flap alignment device folds one of the bottom end flaps of the collapsed carton tube inwardly and in the same motion folds the top end flap which is also provided on the bottom of the carton tube outwardly so that the bottom end flap and the top end flap are aligned in the same plane. The end flap alignment device comprises a generally U-shaped fork comprising a base attached to a plate and two rods each connected at one end thereof to the base. The plate is attached to a reciprocable slide of the apparatus by a pivot rod. One end of the pivot rod is connected to a cam, which rides in a cam track. As the slide is reciprocated, the plate, including fork, is pivoted about the pivot rod.
