  • Patent number: 8301452
Abstract: A system and method for retrieving distributed content responsive to voice data are disclosed. Voice data is transmitted from a source client device to media server which applies a mixing table to route the voice data to one or more destinations described by the mixing table. The media server also analyzes the received voice data for one or more events. Responsive to detecting an event, the media server communicates with an application server, which modifies the mixing table so that subsequent data is also routed to a media generator which analyzes voice data received after detection of the event for a command. The media generator communicates with the application server to retrieve data from a user data source, such as a website, associated with a detected command. The media generator produces an audio representation of the retrieved data which is communicated to the source client device via the media server.

  • Publication number: 20110169827
Abstract: Some representative embodiments are directed to creating a “virtual world” by processing a series of two dimensional images to generate a representation of the physical world depicted in the series of images. The virtual world representation includes models of objects that specify the locations of the objects within the virtual world, the geometries of the objects, the dimensions of the objects, the surface representation of the objects, and/or other relevant information. By developing the virtual world representation, a number of image processing effects may be applied such as generation of stereoscopic images, object insertion, object removal, object translation, and/or other object manipulation operations.

  • Patent number: 7660472
Abstract: Methods and systems that help control when and how stereoscopic content should be viewed, based on both geometry of the viewing system and the geometry used to generate the content are shown. One example embodiment utilizes the specifications of the system used to capture the image data to determine the geometry of the image content, and encodes this content geometry along with the stored image data. This content geometry data is then analyzed by display systems to determine appropriate geometries for a viewing system. Data arranged according to one embodiment is a series of digitally stored video frames representing a stereoscopic prospective view of an image or scene. This prospective view was rendered using a specific content geometry, and this geometry is digitally encoded and stored with, or embedded in, the digital image data.

  • Patent number: 7338545
Abstract: A liquid separator includes a housing, a separation chamber disposed within the housing, a drain, an inlet channel, a swirler disposed within the inlet channel, and an outlet channel. The drain has a drain passageway for draining liquid from the separation chamber. The inlet channel is configured to communicate the fluid stream from a first inlet end to a second inlet end disposed within the housing and proximate the separation chamber. The outlet channel is configured to communicate the fluid stream from a first outlet end positioned proximate the second inlet end, to a second outlet end remote from the separation chamber. The drain passageway has an inner diameter sized such that the interaction between the surface tension of the liquid and the inner passageway causes some liquid to be retained in the drain passageway, to form a low pressure gas seal of the drain passageway.
