Patent number: 11917294Abstract: Techniques are described for compensating for movements of sensors. A method includes receiving two sets of sensor data from two sets of sensors, where a first set of sensors are located on a roof of a cab of a semi-trailer truck and a second set of sensor data are located on a hood of the semi-trailer truck. The method also receives from a height sensor a measured value indicative of a height of the rear of a rear portion of the cab of the semi-trailer truck relative to a chassis of the semi-trailer truck, determines two correction values, one for each of the two sets of sensor data, and compensates for the movement of the two sets of sensors by generating two sets of compensated sensor data. The two sets of compensated sensor data are generated by adjusting the two sets of sensor data based on the two correction values.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Assignee: TUSIMPLE, INC.Inventors: Alan Camyre, Todd Skinner, Juexiao Ning, Qiwei Li, Yishi Liu

Patent number: 11914530Abstract: Memory having internal processors, and methods of data communication within such a memory are provided. In one embodiment, an internal processor may concurrently access one or more banks on a memory array on a memory device via one or more buffers. The internal processor may be coupled to a buffer capable of accessing more than one bank, or coupled to more than one buffer that may each access a bank, such that data may be retrieved from and stored in different banks concurrently. Further, the memory device may be configured for communication between one or more internal processors through couplings between memory components, such as buffers coupled to each of the internal processors. Therefore, a multi-operation instruction may be performed by different internal processors, and data (such as intermediate results) from one internal processor may be transferred to another internal processor of the memory, enabling parallel execution of an instruction(s).Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2022Date of Patent: February 27, 2024Inventors: Robert M. Walker, Dan Skinner, Todd A. Merritt, J. Thomas Pawlowski

Publication number: 20240019573Abstract: The angle of a trailer with respect to a tow vehicle is an important parameter to the stability of the vehicle and trailer. A tow vehicle pulling a trailer in a straight line is generally more stable than when the vehicle is turning. While turning, the angle between the tow vehicle and the trailer is not a straight line but is another angle depending on how sharply the tow vehicle is turning. To safely operate a vehicle towing a trailer, for a given steering input and speed, there is a maximum angle between the tow vehicle and trailer whereby exceeding the angle causes instability and may cause the trailer or tow vehicle to roll over or jackknife. Accordingly, the angle between the trailer and tow vehicle must be determined to ensure the vehicle and trailer will continue to be in control.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2023Publication date: January 18, 2024Inventors: Xiaoling HAN, Charles A. PRICE, Todd SKINNER, Kaixin ZHENG
