  • Patent number: 8777120
Abstract: A hydronic radiant flooring heating system includes a pipe having pipe sections, and a grid of a thermally conductive material. The pipe sections are arranged substantially parallel to one another along a first axis, where there is a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The pipe is to carry a heated liquid to radiantly heat a flooring under which the pipe is situated. The grid is situated relative to the sections. A portion of the grid is positioned substantially parallel to the second axis, and has an increased gauge to provide for lateral heat flow from the sections along the second axis. Heating of the flooring under which the pipe and the grid are situated is substantially uniform at least partially due to the increased gauge of the portion of the grid positioned substantially parallel to the second axis, while permitting wider spacing between adjacent of the pipe sections.

  • Patent number: 7499992
Abstract: One example of this invention defines a new interface to the CIM client API that is more generic than the current standard CIM client API that clients can use for the case where they want to find all relationships between instances of A and B. The method would implement several different ways to retrieve the relationships between A and B. CIM has a concept of a qualifier, which is a tag that can be applied to supply any additional information. The provider could define in the qualifier for each association class which algorithm they think is most efficient, and the implementation of the new interface would use whichever algorithm the qualifier says will be most efficient.

  • Publication number: 20070300147
Abstract: Markup-language data, such as extensible Markup Language (XML) data, is compressed. A first node generates compressed markup-language data. The compressed markup-language data is decompressable in accordance with a first general compression scheme that is not particular to data formatted in accordance with a markup language. The compressed markup-language data is further decompressable in accordance with a second specific compression scheme that is particular to data formatted in accordance with the markup language. The first node transmits the compressed markup-language data, which is received by a second node. The second node decompresses the compressed markup-language data using the first general compression scheme or the second specific compression scheme.
