  • Patent number: 11666875
Abstract: A dispensing device, comprising a plurality of microfluidic pumps, microfluidic valves, and a microfluidic mixer chip, for receiving and mixing microfluidic amounts of a plurality of fluids having differing viscosities, is disclosed. The device includes a plurality of pathways for moving fluids from associated reservoirs to the microfluidic mixer chip. A mix controller controls the microfluidic pumps and valves so that the fluids, having different viscosities, can be accurately mixed at specified microfluidic amounts or volumes according to a specified microfluidic recipe, and the microfluidic mixture dispensed from the device. The device can be in communication with a software application implemented on a mobile compute device, such as a smartphone, and receive instructions for implementing the specified microfluidic recipe from the software application such that the operation of device components is at the direction of the software application executed on the mobile compute device.

  • Patent number: 10010639
Abstract: An electrical plug in fragrance dispenser can include a removable decorative sheath. The dispenser can be configured so that, when the sheath is attached, an electrical outlet is completely covered. In this way, the dispenser will have the appearance of a more permanent decorative light fixture. The dispenser can also be configured to plug into two outlets of an electrical receptacle thereby increasing the stability of the dispenser when attached to the wall or other surface. The dispenser may also include an outlet so that the receptacle can still be used when the dispenser is secured overtop the receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20160214778
Abstract: A clamshell packaging for scented wax can serve as a tray when warming the wax within a candle warmer. The clamshell packaging can be shaped and sized to fit within a dish of a candle warmer and can be made of a heat conducting material. In this way, the user can place the packaging directly in the dish of a candle warmer so that the wax is melted within the packaging rather than within the dish. After the wax has been used, the user can simply remove the packaging from the dish and throw it away. The clamshell packaging can include a lid with a number of vents to allow the wax within the base to be heated while the lid is secured over the base. These vents can be configured to control the rate at which the scent within the wax is emitted from the clamshell packaging.

  • Patent number: 9051188
Abstract: A particulate sodium bicarbonate product with an excellent flowability characterized by an angle of repose less than 30 degrees. An angle of repose of less than 27.5 is particularly good. The product is preferably in the form of ovoid or spherical particles, in that the particles have a mean axial ratio of at least 0.5. In some embodiments, the sodium bicarbonate product has a smooth particle surface in which less than 75% of the particle surface is covered with spikes. The particles may have a mean diameter D50 of at least 75 microns but less than 300 microns. The particulate sodium bicarbonate product comprises inorganic and organic impurities embedded in its polycrystalline structure, for example at least 75 ppm TOC; or at least 30 ppm Ca; or from 1 to 18 ppm Mg; or more than 0.6 g/kg NaCl; and/or from 100 to less than 500 ppm Si. A process for manufacturing such product, and its use for the treatment of pollutants in gases such as removal of acid gas.

  • Publication number: 20070204144
Abstract: A modular BIOS update mechanism provides a standardized method to update options ROMs and to provide video and processor microcode upgrades in a computer system without requiring a complete replacement of the system BIOS. The MBU mechanism provides several advantages. First, new features and BIOS bugs from earlier release may be delivered to an installed base of end-user systems even if direct OEM support cannot be identified. Also, BIOS components may be provided as a validated set of revisions. With resort to a validation matrix, BIOS updates may be managed easily. The modular BIOS update is particularly useful in systems having several independent BIOS's stored within unitary firmware.
