Abstract: A vibration isolator mount (10) is provided including a travel restrictor (30) for limiting axial stretching of the spring component (22) to the vibration isolator mount. A snubber (32) ring is provided to provide a bumper between the travel restrictor (30) and a stop surface (12) in order to soften the impact therebetween when a heavy input occurs. Furthermore, the travel restrictor (30) is provided with a protective coating in order to reflect heat away from the isolator mount.

Abstract: A vibration isolation mount (10) is provided including a bracket member (12) including a base portion (18) having a pair of side wing portions (24, 26) extending from a pair of bends in the base portion (18). At least one pair of end wing portions (28, 30) extend from opposite ends of the bracket member (12). A core element (14) including a body portion (46) is disposed between the pair of side wing portions (24, 26). An elastomeric spring member (16) is disposed between the body portion of the core element (14) and the pair of side wing portions of the bracket member (12). The at least one pair of end wing portions (28, 30) are bent towards the elastomeric spring member (16) so as to oppose opposite ends of the spring member so as to provide a lateral travel restrictor for the elastomeric spring member (16) without the necessity of additional components.

Abstract: A switchable hydraulic bushing (10) is provided in which a secondary chamber (60) is sealed so as to be air-tight and is provided with a bleed passage (38) for allowing for the free flow of air into and out of the secondary air chamber (60). A closure device (40) is provided for closing off the bleed passage (38) for sealing off the air-tight secondary chamber (60) to alter the flexibility characteristics of the walls (58) of the compensation chambers (52) and effectively turn off the hydraulic damping function of the hydraulic bushing (10).

Abstract: An integrated automotive vehicle component and heat shield apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a body having a heat sensitive region and a heat shield integrally molded thereon. The heat shield includes a first edge and a second edge. The first edge is bonded, via the molding process, to a first area of the body. The second edge is attached to a second area of the body. The second area is opposite the heat sensitive region from the first area. Thus, the heat shield covers the heat sensitive region of the body.
