Abstract: A sheet feeding device includes a sheet separating device having a rotary member configured to feed a first sheet picked up by a sheet pick-up device and an obstructing member configured to obstruct feeding of another sheet fed with the first sheet. A drive device is configured to drive the sheet pick-up device and the rotary member to rotate. At least one detecting device is configured to detect a leading edge of the first sheet. A control device is configured to control sheet feeding. The control device is configured to change a rotational speed of one or both of the sheet pick-up device and the rotary member based on a detection result of the at least one detecting device and a drive amount of the drive device.
