  • Publication number: 20090161139
Abstract: This invention is directed to provide a method capable of performing filter processing suitable for each of different image reading methods. This method includes the steps of causing a light emitting unit to sequentially irradiate an image original with light components of three primary colors and read the image original, and causing the light emitting unit to simultaneously irradiate the image original with one of three different color combinations, which includes two of the light components of three primary colors, and read the image original. The method further includes the step of processing image data obtained based on the reflected light received by the light receiving unit after changing a filter to be used for image processing depending on whether reading of the image original is primary color reading or complementary color reading.

  • Publication number: 20090051976
Abstract: The present invention provides an image processing apparatus having an image readout sensor that is provided with a plurality of pixels that optically read out an image, and a driving unit that moves the image readout sensor. The driving unit moves the image readout sensor, whereby the driving unit and the image readout sensor are controlled so that each of the plurality of pixels reads out a chart with a predetermined pattern. A feature amount of the plurality of pixels is calculated from the image data that has been read out by each pixel through the control, and MTF characteristics of the plurality of pixels are analyzed from the calculated feature amount. Then, nonuniformity of MTF characteristics of the plurality of pixels is corrected according to the analysis result.

  • Patent number: 7411707
Abstract: Even when a color difference diffusion (CD) method which allows high-speed color separation is used, it is difficult to attain preferred color reproduction corresponding to various user's requirements using a small-scale circuit. Hence, a color converter color-converts input image data using a 3D table selected from a plurality of 3D tables, and an interpolation process. A quantization processor obtains error-corrected data by adding error data to the color-converted image data. A dot pattern is selected based on the error-corrected data. The selected dot pattern is output to a print section. The error data is obtained by calculating the difference between a predetermined value corresponding to the dot pattern, and the error-corrected data. The error data is diffused to surrounding pixels.

  • Publication number: 20060197377
Abstract: A vehicle motion state control device controls an actuator capable of regulating a vehicle motion state so that an actual yaw rate approaches a target yaw rate determined based on a steer angle and a vehicle speed, target yaw rate limit values for left and right turn directions of a vehicle are individually determined by a target yaw rate limit value determining mechanism based on detected lateral acceleration, detected vehicle speed, and predetermined set minimum lateral acceleration set in a direction opposite to that of the detected lateral acceleration; and target yaw rates for the left and right turn directions are determined by a target yaw rate determining mechanism 5 while limiting them by the determined target yaw rate limit values. Thus, an over steer control is started at an early timing when an abrupt steering operation at a large steer angle occurs which causes a phase difference to the yaw rate and the lateral acceleration.
