  • Patent number: 7711292
Abstract: A toner cartridge includes a container main body includes a toner outlet, a shutter mechanism for opening and closing the toner outlet, a lever for operating the shutter mechanism, a lever locking mechanism, a lock releasing mechanism, and a prevention mechanism. The lever locking mechanism locks the lever so as to be inoperative while the toner outlet is closed. The lock releasing mechanism unlocks the lever locked by the lever locking mechanism in conjunction with installment of the container main body into the image forming device. The prevention mechanism prevents the container main body from being taken out of the image forming device while the container main body is installed in the image forming device, and the lever operates to open the toner outlet.

  • Patent number: 7447460
Abstract: A color printer includes a color printer main body, a photosensitive drum, a rotary development device, a plurality of toner containers and a drive power transmission mechanism. The drive power transmission mechanism includes a housing, a shaft member, a first transmission mechanism, and a second transmission mechanism. The housing is mounted on the color printer main body. The shaft member is mounted in the housing so as to be axially rotatable, and mobile in the axial direction. The first transmission mechanism is mounted in the housing and transmits the drive power of the drive motor to the shaft member, so that the shaft member can be moved in the axial direction. The second transmission mechanism is mounted in the housing and transmits the drive power of the drive motor to the shaft member, so that the shaft member can be rotated.

  • Patent number: 7277656
Abstract: A grid cleaner 35 is fixed to a fixing holder 41 of an apparatus main body in such a way that a wet sponge 38 faces a grid 33. When a charging device 3 is made to slide in the direction indicated by arrow A, the wet sponge 38 comes into contact with a surface of the grid 33, thereby removing extraneous matters therefrom. Reference numeral 40 denotes a stopper projection that prevents the charging device 3 from being disconnected from the apparatus main body at times other than during cleaning. The stopper projection 40 extends toward a gap roller 39 side so as to serve as a guide portion 42 that prevents the wet sponge 38 of the grid cleaner 35 and the gap roller 39 from rubbing against each other.
