Abstract: The present invention provides an antifouling paint composition having a non-aqueous dispersion resin having a core-shell structure which is constituted of (a) a hydrophilic core component comprising a polymer of ethylenically unsaturated monomers of which 5-75% by weight comprise free acid groups and ?3% by weight comprises silyl ester groups, (b) a shell component having a polymer of ethylenically unsaturated monomers of which <3% by weight comprises free acid groups or silyl ester groups, said resin having an acid value 15-400 mg KOH/g wherein the core component accounts for ?80% of the acid value of the resin, said paint composition having rosin wherein ?90% by weight of the rosin has conjugated, non-aromatic double bonds, and ?25% thereof being metal resinate which constitutes 1-40% by wet weight of the composition, the dry weight ratio between (i) NAD resin and (ii) rosin and metal resinates being 100:15 to 15:100.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an antifouling coating composition comprising:(a) a vehicle comprising a hydrophobic resin (A), a slightly soluble resin (B) and a hydrophilic resin (C), and(b) a copper alloy powder as an antifouling agent comprising from 3 to 25% by weight of nickel and/or manganese, from 0.1 to 1.5% by weight of iron and the rest being copper, and(c) if necessary, one of zinc oxide, germanium oxide and a flake pigment.
