  • Patent number: 4996415
Abstract: Here is disclosed a photoelectric detector comprising first and second light sources respectively having different light emitting areas, a photoelectric transducer member adapted to receive the light emitted from these light sources and then reflected on an object to be detected, and a signal processing circuit functioning to separate electric signals corresponding to the first and second light sources from an output of the photoelectric transducer member and to compare these separated two electric signals to each other so that presence or absence and a position of the object are detected on the basis of such comparison of the two electric signals.

  • Patent number: 4930349
Abstract: The gas rate sensor in the present invention is provided with a holder assembly having a metallic holding portion for holding flow sensors and a cylindrical casing containing the holder assembly and heater wires which are wound around the outside thereof. The outer periphery of the holding portion is provided with a plural number of projections which are brought into compressive contact with the inner periphery of the casing for enabling pressing of the holder assembly into the casing. A temperature detection element is disposed in a gas flow passage between the holder assembly and the casing for performing energizing control of the heater wires.

  • Patent number: 4891624
Abstract: The detection system for obstruction to vehicle according to the invention comprises a plurality of light emitting elements disposed in the rear of a car, a modulation for emitting modulation lights from the light emitting elements, light receiving elements for receiving the reflected light that the modulation light comes in contact with an external obstruction to reflection, a detection circuit for detecting output signals of the light receiving elements, thus detecting the obstruction from an output of the detection circuit, and a rearward obstruction can be detected securely particularly when the car moves backward, a new light source for obstruction detecting is not particularly required, and thus no area must be prepared for installation.

  • Patent number: 4712926
Abstract: An electronic timepiece which produces a time tone based on a time code signal from a time code disk, comprising a control circuit for generating read-in signals in response to a start signal produced on the hour, memory circuit means for storing a time code signal from said time code disk in response to said read-in signals, wherein a stored code signal of said memory circuit means is supplied to a clock strike count control circuit as a signal for limiting the number of time tone strikes. Further, first and second memory circuit means are provided for storing the time code successively, and an AM/PM discriminating circuit is also provided for discriminating AM and PM by receiving said stored time codes of said first and second memory circuit means.

  • Patent number: 4699518
Abstract: A musical scale generating circuit comprises an oscillator, a programmable frequency divider for frequency-dividing an output signal from the oscillator, a tone generating circuit for generating a tone, and a frequency dividing ratio data output circuit for successively outputting frequency dividing ratio data determinative of a plurality of frequency dividing ratios of the programmable frequency divider. A frequency dividing ratio discriminating circuit detects whether a frequency dividing ratio necessary for outputting a desired scale frequency is an odd or even number. A frequency dividing ratio correcting circuit is operative to add one to or substract one from frequency dividing ratio data, when a frequency dividing ratio is detected to be an odd numbered frequency dividing ratio and applies corrected frequency dividing ratio to the programmable frequency divider. A one-half frequency divider further divides a signal from the programmable frequency divider by two.

  • Patent number: 4613791
Abstract: An automatic light control apparatus for a vehicle comprises an external light detector for selectively turning on and turning off at least one of tail lamps, side marker lamps and head lamps of a vehicle in accordance with the detected external light. A further detector is provided for detecting the ON period of an illuminating light having a fluctuating light value (for example generated by an A.C. voltage source), and the lamps are further controlled in accordance with the detected ON period of the fluctuating light value in conjunction with the signals generated by the external light detector, for controlling the illumination of the lamps of the vehicle. A further detector may be provided for detecting an abrupt change in the illumination level, and for controlling the vehicle lamps further in accordance with the detected abrupt change.
