    Abstract: A power steering apparatus which is provided with a rotary valve. An input shaft and an output shaft are disposed in coaxial relationship and connected together by a torsion bar. A valve rotor is formed on the input shaft while a valve sleeve is connected to the output shaft and disposed in surrounding relationship with the valve rotor to define a rotary valve. A buffering member comprising a material such as rubber or resin is interposed between the opposing surfaces of the output shaft and the valve sleeve.
