  • Publication number: 20070251105
Abstract: An electric pencil sharpener comprises a wasteful shaving prevention mechanism for separating the rotatable cutting blade from the pencil a pencil-core tip adjustment mechanism for adjusting the diameter of the shaved pencil-core tip, and a core fragment removal mechanism for removing any broken off pencil-core fragment remaining in the electric pencil sharpener. The wasteful shaving prevention mechanism includes the cutting blade, a cutter shaft and a plate and is structured to separate the cutting blade from the pencil when sharpening if finished. The pencil-core tip adjustment mechanism includes a pencil-core tip adjustment dial, a rotatable pencil-core tip adjustment screw, a gear shaft, a connecting rod, a plate and a stop. The core fragment removal mechanism includes a button, a gear shaft, a connecting rod, a plate and a stop. An electric pencil sharpener that further incorporates a pencil diameter adapter is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20060266788
Abstract: An electric stapler is provided that performs stapling driven by electric power and is provided with a release button for operation at the time of reloading staples to release and eject a magazine frame retained under pressure. The electric stapler is provided on the magazine frame with at least one engagement projection and on a main unit with at least one engagement potion constituting a stop that engages with the engagement projection to control the ejection distance of the magazine frame so that the magazine frame is not ejected by an elastic body more forcefully than necessary upon operation of the release button.

  • Patent number: 7134461
Abstract: A pencil sharpener includes a frame, a drive mechanism, a transmission mechanism, a cutting mechanism, and a pencil-core adjustment mechanism. The pencil-core adjustment mechanism is constituted of a core stopper shaft, an elastic body, and a core adjustment switch constituted of electrode plates aligned in parallel. A pencil inserted into the cutting mechanism presses against and turns ON a switch provided in the drive mechanism to transmit power from the electric power supply unit to the drive device, thereby operating the cutting mechanism via the transmission mechanism to sharpen the pencil. When the pencil is pressed against the upper end of the core stopper shaft, a disk of the core stopper shaft contacts and pushes down one end of the longer electrode plate to separate the projection of the longer electrode plate from the shorter electrode plate, thereby turning OFF the core adjustment switch.

The pencil-core adjustment mechanism is constituted of a core stopper shaft, an elastic body, and a core adjustment switch constituted of electrode plates aligned in parallel and provided with a projection for making contact to establish an electrically conductive state.

  • Publication number: 20050235797
Abstract: This invention provides a decorative hole punch of a structure such that anyone would be able to easily and safely return the cutting head to its original position by raising the arm after cutting holes, and such that its manufacturing process is simplified. The structure is such that, in a decorative hole punch comprising a frame, cutting head, guide hole, slit and a cutting head lever arm: the cutting head consists of a decorative hole cutting head formed in the shape of one of a variety of patterns, and also, the cutting head lever arm is pivotally supported by a support provided to one side of the external frame such that the back end of the arm rotates freely about a support pin in pivot holes so that the cutting head travels down vertically along the guide hole, and also is linked via a linkage pin to central linkage holes in a linkage area at the top end of the cutting head near the center of the arm.

  • Publication number: 20050199675
Abstract: An electric stapler comprises a case body, a drive section consisting of a motor and gears, electrical circuitry, a magazine frame in which staples are loaded, and an arm that pushes down on staples in the magazine frame so that the staples penetrate and fasten a sheaf of documents. The staples are pressed down on a document sheaf under the weight of the magazine frame. The stapling operation is effected by the magazine frame and arm swing up and down about swingable fulcrums, with the arm pushing down on a staple stored in the magazine frame and the magazine frame swinging about a swingable fulcrum to press against the document sheaf. An elastic body is provided on the lower part of the magazine frame that urges the magazine frame and arm back to their original stapling position. A deformation prevention member is provided on the front end of the magazine frame to prevent the magazine frame from being deformed due to frequent use.
