  • Patent number: 9297783
Abstract: To provide a reagent applying device and a reagent applying method for electrophoresis analysis which make it possible to apply a reagent with a simple configuration at low cost. A reagent supplying device for supplying a reagent to the surface of a gel in electrophoresis analysis includes a reagent applying tool which is a plate-shaped body. The reagent applying tool includes at least one reagent holding section which penetrates the reagent applying tool in a thickness direction and which holds a reagent by capillary action, and a reagent spreading section for spreading, on the surface of the gel, a reagent supplied from a lower-side opening of the reagent holding section when the reagent applying tool is placed on the gel.

  • Patent number: 7261800
Abstract: A method of in situ electrophoresis of biological samples has the steps of preparing a sample plate and a gel plate, applying reagent onto the gel plate, moving an applicator to the sample plate so as to receive a sample onto the applicator, moving the applicator toward the gel plate such that at least a portion of the sample is loaded onto the gel plate, electrophoresing the gel plate, staining the gel plate and scanning the stained gel plate so as to electronically analyze a band in the gel of the gel plate.

  • Patent number: 6963822
Abstract: Waveform diagrams of cholesterol and triglyceride, for example, obtained by electrophoresis are overlappedly displayed (superimposed). To compare or overlappedly display two waveform diagrams, one unit of absolute concentration is related to one unit of waveform size for normalization. With this method, phenotype classification of lipid can be easily performed. Further, phenotype can also be performed quantitatively and automatically from two waveform diagrams. Thus, a plurality of waveform diagrams of lipid in serum (plasma) obtained by a densitometer or the like can be quantitatively compared.

  • Patent number: 6576106
Abstract: A method for separating and assaying lipoprotain to determine a degree of modification of a predetermined component in a specimen of lipoprotein, comprising the step of: determining a distance “a” from an application point of the standard sample to a fraction corresponding to the predetermined lipoprotein using an electrophoretic pattern obtained by electrophoresis of a standard sample; determining a distance “b” from the application point of the specimen to a fraction corresponding to the predetermined lipoprotein using electrophoretic pattern obtained by electrophoresis of a specimen; comparing the distance “a” and the distance “b” to determine a relative mobility “z(=b/a)” of the specimen to the standard sample, wherein the degree of modification of the predetermined component in the specimen being judged on the basis of the relative mobility “z”.

  • Patent number: 5298140
Abstract: A reaction apparatus for a biochemical examination is provided having at least a pair of band-shaped conveying members, a portion of each of which proceeds over a predetermined distance in the same direction in a closely contacted state, and which convey a sample-supporting thin film while sandwiching it between the closely contacted portions, and a heat source which is provided in the vicinity of the closely contacted portions of the pair of band-shaped conveying members, and which maintains at a predetermined temperature the sample-supporting thin film sandwiched between the closely contacted portions. The sample-supporting thin film is conveyed from one side to the other side between the pair of band-shaped conveying members. On the other side, the sample-supporting thin film is supplied with the reagent, then caused to approach the heat source while being sandwiched between the band-shaped conveying members.
