  • Patent number: 9036112
Abstract: An optical sheet includes a sheet body including a single translucent resin material layer having a first surface that light enters and a second surface that the light exits. The sheet body is orientationally crystallized in a first in-plane axis direction and a second in-plane axis direction orthogonal to each other and having a linear expansion coefficient of 1.0*10E?5/° C. or less in all in-plane directions. A structure surface portion that has a geometric configuration and is formed on at least one of the first surface and the second surface.

  • Publication number: 20120268073
Abstract: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery provided with a rolled electrode assembly, in which a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material layer disposed on a positive electrode collector formed from metal foil and a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material layer disposed on a negative electrode collector formed from metal foil are stacked with a separator therebetween and are rolled, and an electrolyte, wherein at least one of the positive electrode collector and the negative electrode collector has a compressed pattern portion which is disposed as a part of the metal foil and which has a thickness smaller than that of the other portion through compression, and the compressed pattern portion from one end parallel to the rolling direction of the metal foil to the other end opposite to the one end is not disposed continuously in the direction orthogonal to the rolling direction of the metal foil.

  • Patent number: 8018557
Abstract: A retardation compensator 40 for compensating for residual retardation of a liquid crystal panel 11 includes a retardation compensating plate 50 having birefringence. An in-plane retardation R0c of the retardation compensating plate 50 and an in-plane retardation R0p of the liquid crystal panel 11 satisfy a relationship of 1<R0c/R0p?10, thereby allowing changes in the amount of compensated retardation among rotation angles occurring when the retardation compensating plate 50 is set with respect to the liquid crystal panel 11 to be confined within narrow limits. Therefore, the contrast can be adjusted readily, and variations in residual retardation among the individual liquid crystal panels 11 can be accommodated flexibly.

  • Patent number: 6702920
Abstract: This invention relates to how to obtain an optical recording disc with a good quality, capable of achieving a beautiful outline shape of the inner peripheral part side rim part of the cured ultraviolet ray curing type resin substantially concentrically even in the case there is irregularity of the wettability of both round substrates with respect to the ultraviolet ray curing type resin, and capable of providing an even film thickness of the resin with the film thickness controlled to a predetermined value or less even in the case there are irregularity of the wettability of both round substrates, difficulty in controlling the centrifugal force applied on the resin, irregularity of the plate thickness of both round substrates, or the like.
