Abstract: A holding device used in a drawing-in device for inserting winding coils into a stator core of an electrical machine from a transfer tool carrying the winding coils. The holding device includes a stationary cam plate defining therein a cam groove and a pusher block supporting a holding down-plate, which pusher block bears guide rollers cooperating with the cam groove so that the holding-down plate is guided to the stator core disposed on the transfer tool and then applies a force in the direction of the stator core axis about which an associated rotor of electrical machine is rotated.

Abstract: A method for fabricating stator assemblies of electrical machines and an apparatus suitable for carrying the method into practice, wherein a plurality of transfer tools receiving wound coils and inserting the coils into stator cores are transported by conveyors in two identical closed paths arranged symmetrically. Located along each closed path are a plurality of main coil winding devices for winding main coils and transferring them to the transfer tools, a plurality of auxiliary coil winding devices for winding auxiliary coils and transferring these coils to the transfer tools, and a transfer tool indexing device interposed between the main coil winding devices and the auxiliary coil winding devices for indexing the auxiliary coils with the main coils. A drawing-in device common to the two closed paths simultaneously draws the main and auxiliary coils on each transfer tool into stator grooves.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing stators of electrical machines and the like which includes the steps of transporting a plurality of coil inserting jigs by a transporting arrangement for circulating through a transporting path, with the coil inserting jigs receiving coils prepared by winding, and inserting the coils into a stator core, conducting a winding process, an insulating material inserting step for the coil inserting jigs, a coil inserting step for the stator core and an insulating material inserting step for the stator core along the transporting path, and branching and collecting the coil inserting jigs by the transporting arrangement for simultaneously carrying out the coil winding at a plurality of places. An apparatus is also disclosed for efficiently carrying out the above method.
