  • Publication number: 20070051134
Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a glass frame, comprises a mold having a rectangular frame-shaped storage recess in which both end portions of a plurality of strip-like glass plates and are stored such that they are overlapped, coil heaters which simultaneously heat and melt the end portions of the plurality of strip-like glass plates and stored in the storage recess of the mold, and a pressing unit which simultaneously presses the end portions of the plurality of strip-like glass plates and molten by the coil heaters such that the resultant has a thickness equal to that of the strip-like glass plates.

  • Patent number: 6437499
Abstract: An electron gun for emitting an electron beam to a phosphor screen and for scanning one of two scanning regions defined in the phosphor screen is arranged in two necks of a vacuum envelope. A mask body of a shadow mask has two effective areas, in which numerous electron beam passage apertures are bored, defined in association with the scanning regions, and has a boundary portion defined between the effective areas and opposed to the boundary between the scanning regions of the phosphor screen. An adjustment member used to adjust a q value at a plurality of points on the boundary portion is fixed to the inner surface of the boundary portion. After the q value is adjusted, the adjustment member is fixed to the mask frame.

  • Patent number: 4560900
Abstract: A cathode ray tube device which comprises an electromagnetic shielding casing, a cathode ray tube held in said casing, an elastic material provided between the casing and cathode ray tube in contact therewith, and a space or porous material formed in part of a region defined between the casing and elastic material, and wherein said space or porous material suppresses the axial shifting of the cathode ray tube resulting from the thermal expansion of the elastic material when it is highly heated.
