  • Patent number: 4684078
Abstract: A tape cassette comprises a pair of reels, and a cassette case for rotatably accommodating the reels. Each reel has a reel hub which is wound with a magnetic tape, a center hole and reel flanges provided on the reel hub. The cassette case has a pair of support parts for rotatably supporting the reel hubs of the reels so that the reels can rotate in a state where the reel flanges of the reels are separated from inner surfaces of the cassette case. Each of the support parts is constituted by a pair of annular projections formed on peripheries of two corresponding holes in the cassette case. Each annular projection projects toward the inside of the cassette case, and supports a corresponding one of the reel hubs solely by a tip end thereof.

  • Patent number: 4560117
Abstract: A tape cassette comprises a set of two front and back cassette halves, each half having a pair of apertures each of which is surrounded by an inward-extending annular projection and is aligned with an aperture and annular projection on the other cassette half, and a pair of tape reels, each of which has an inner surface surrounding two such aligned annular projections and comprises an annular flange which extends inward from the inner surface of each reel, which forms a step down from each side of the reel, and which is provided with means for engaging a driving shaft. The two aligned annular projections are in supporting engagement with the two sides of the annular flange, and the two sides of each reel are separated by a clearance from the two cassette halves.

  • Patent number: 4526330
Abstract: A tape cassette comprises a cassette case having a front opening located on the front thereof for allowing a tape to enter within the cassette case and a side opening located on at least one side of the cassette case, a pair of reels for winding the tape thereon, and a pair of support parts located displaceably on the cassette case, for rotatably supporting the reels which are inserted into the cassette case through the side opening. The reels are removable from the cassette case through the side opening. The support parts are displaced to disengage the support with respect to the reels which are being removed from the cassette case.

  • Patent number: 4447021
Abstract: The tape cartridge of cassette system has sliding sheets of disc form to be mounted on the reel hubs within the cassette half so as to rotate with the reel hubs, thereby inhibiting any drawbacks such as increase of take-up torque to tend to stop and cut the tape and bad influences upon the rotating speed of the tape or wow or flutter.
