Abstract: The medical information card is a card which may be carried by a patient, e.g., in the patient's wallet, and includes pertinent information about the patient's medical history and current medications in a form which is readable without the use of a machine. A computerized system and method for producing the card includes a database maintained by or accessible by the pharmacy, and by the patient through the Internet. When the patient visits the pharmacy with a new prescription, the database is updated to include the new prescription and a new or replacement medical information card is printed out and provided to the patient.
