The fin blade (222) extends away from the fin base (220). The adhesive (224) directly and fixedly secures the base attachment surface (226A) to the outer surface (18) of a board (12). The fin assembly (14) can be used for directionally controlling the movement of a board (12) through a liquid. The outer surface (18) of the board (12) is moisture resistant.
