A target computational instance may be configured to operate the software application and store a second set of content related to the software application. The software application operated by the target computational instance may apply transformation rules to received content before storing the received content in the second set of content. The source computational instance may be further configured to receive selected content chosen from the first set of content and an indication of the target computational instance, and transmit the selected content to the target computational instance. The target computational instance may be further configured to receive the selected content, apply the transformation rules to the selected content, and store the selected content within the second set of content.

Abstract: A mock server implementation for discovery applications is provided. A computing system includes a mock server, which receives a client request from a mock client on a discovery server. The client request corresponds to a user query associated with a discovery of resources on a remote computing system. The mock server determines a first response from a mock response dataset. The first response to the client request is determined based on the received client request. The mock response dataset includes a set of responses associated with a sequence of operations executed in the past for the discovery of resources on the remote computing system. The mock server transmits the determined first response to the mock client on the discovery server. The mock client receives the transmitted first response and sends the received first response to a discovery application interface on a user device.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a discovery process that enables discovery of database management systems (DBMSs) hosted by at least one client device of a client network. The disclosed discovery process involves a discovery server disposed on the client network accessing the client device hosting the DBMS to collect configuration item (CI) data on the configuration and operation of management, extraction, and replication processes of the DBMS. More specifically, this discovery process involves the discovery server requesting and receiving certain CI data from the management process of the DBMS, requesting and receiving certain CI data from an operating system (OS) of the client devices, as well as parsing and retrieving certain CI data from configuration and report files of the DBMS. Additionally, the disclosed discovery process is designed to be performed without being granted special or additional privileges within the DBMS itself.

The system also includes a discovery application configured to perform operations including determining a proxy uniform resource locator (URL) used to provide access to a particular resource of the resources through an API proxy of the API proxies and obtaining, from a computing device associated with the API proxy, an assignment of proxy URLs to corresponding target URLs by the API proxy. Each target URL of the corresponding target URLs address a respective resource of the resources. The proxy URLs are used to provide access to the resources through the API proxy. The operations also include selecting, from the assignment, a target URL assigned to the proxy URL, generating a mapping between the proxy URL and the target URL, and storing the mapping in the CMDB.

Abstract: A computational instance of a remote network management platform may be dedicated to a managed network, and the managed network may use computing resources of a cloud-based service provider.
