  • Publication number: 20170149402
Abstract: A method of controlling an audio system includes generating a situation response model for a situation parameter, determining a situation parameter value, and at least one of (1) providing an audio system output as a function of the situation response model and the situation parameter value and (2) receiving an audio system input as a function of the situation response model and the situation parameter value.

  • Patent number: 9416925
Abstract: An LED-based luminaire is configured to direct light from an LED source downwardly. However, a portion of the luminaire intentionally reflects part of the light upwardly toward a ceiling of a structure. A control circuit of an LED-based luminaire enables the luminaire to be dimmed by an off-the-shelf dimmer. The control circuit also determines when a temperature of the LED-based luminaire exceeds a desired temperature range, and employs a feedback circuit to reduce power delivery to the LEDs until the temperature is again within the desired temperature range.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 16, 2016
    Assignee: Permlight Products, Inc.

  • Patent number: 6957948
Abstract: The present invention seeks to provide a turbine blade with increased creep capability for both uncooled and cooled turbine blades while generally maintaining operating stress levels at an interface region between the turbine blade and a turbine disk. A turbine blade is disclosed having an attachment, a neck, a platform, and an airfoil. Extending radially outward from the attachment, through the neck, and terminating radially inward of the platform is a plurality of first cavities. The turbine blade in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention is cast from a high density nickel base alloy with high temperature capability and improved creep capability. A plurality of first cavities are placed in the attachment and neck region to reduce excess weight of the turbine blade due to the higher density, greater creep capable alloy. Reducing the weight of the blade in this region provides increased creep capability in the turbine blade airfoil while maintaining operating stress levels.

  • Patent number: 6142576
Abstract: An assembly for coupling a dump truck bed to a frame of a work machine includes an attachment member secured in fixed relation to the frame. The attachment member has a plurality of first fastener apertures defined therein. The assembly also includes a hydraulic cylinder having a first end and a second end. The first end of the hydraulic cylinder is pivotally coupled to the dump truck bed. The assembly further includes a bearing assembly having an inner race and an outer race, wherein (i) the outer race is disposed around the inner race such that the outer race rotates in relation to the inner race thereby defining a central axis of rotation, (ii) the outer race is fixed in relation to the second end of the hydraulic cylinder, (iii) the inner race is fixed in relation to the attachment member, and (iv) the inner race has a plurality of second fastener apertures defined therein.
