Patent number: 10322798Abstract: A rotor yoke manufactured by a process comprising preparing a molded rotor yoke in a closed cavity tool and possibly machining at least one portion of the molded rotor yoke to form the rotor yoke. In the preferred embodiment, the preparing of the molded rotor yoke is accomplished by applying layers of uncured low-flow composite material and a layer of uncured high-flow adhesive; substantially enclosing the uncured molded rotor yoke in the closed cavity tool; and applying pressure so as to compress the uncured molded rotor yoke; and curing the uncured molded rotor yoke. During the curing process, the high-flow adhesive bleeds out of the molded rotor yoke, thereby preventing marcels from forming through movement of the low-flow composite material.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2015Date of Patent: June 18, 2019Assignee: Textron Innovations Inc.Inventors: Frank B. Stamps, Pat Tisdale, Bryan Marshall, Tom Campbell

Patent number: 8589249Abstract: An automated bid proxy for online auctions transmits user-initiated bids to an online auction facility using dynamically adjusted bid times that vary from the user-specified or auction-specified bid times. This dynamic adjustment may advantageously distribute large bid loads over a time interval in order to reduce the peak load that is actually experienced by the automated bid proxy at times of high bid volume.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2007Date of Patent: November 19, 2013Assignee: Esnipe, Inc.Inventor: Tom Campbell

Patent number: 8029371Abstract: A torque coupling for a rotor head of a rotary-wing aircraft is configured for rotation with a mast and for causing rotation of an attached yoke. The coupling has trunnions that rotate with the mast and extend generally radially. Pad-bearing assemblies each have a central member coupled to one of the trunnions with a laminated spherical bearing and have laminated pad bearings affixed to opposing sides of the central member. The laminated bearings have alternating rigid and elastomeric layers. A bearing mount is affixed to each pad bearing and is connected to a yoke for rotating the yoke with the mast. The pad-bearing assemblies allow for relative motion between each central member and the associated trunnion and between each central member and the bearing mounts through elastic shear deformation, and this allows for gimballing of the attached yoke relative to the mast.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2006Date of Patent: October 4, 2011Assignee: Textron Innovations Inc.Inventors: Frank B. Stamps, Richard Rauber, David Popelka, Pat Tisdale, Tom Campbell, James Lee Braswell, Jr.

Patent number: 7890957Abstract: A platform provides an intuitive and integrated management tool for disparate communications channels. Media such as web sites, web logs, electronic mail, instant messaging, and short messaging services may be combined and controlled through a single access point. The user interface for the access point may itself be deployed for use with a cellular phone, web client, or the like. While graphical user interfaces are one useful embodiment, a command-oriented interface may similarly be operated telephonically, or using electronic mail, instant messaging, SMS, or any other suitable technique.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2007Date of Patent: February 15, 2011Assignee: EasyOnMe, Inc.Inventor: Tom Campbell
