  • Publication number: 20150114395
Abstract: A method for determining a ventilation need specific for a patient is disclosed herein. The method includes providing a breath gas with a machine ventilator circuit from a starting pressure to lungs to start inspiration, and filling lungs to a predetermined breath gas pressure level. The method also includes determining in a control unit a filling volume of the breath gas needed to achieve the predetermined breath gas pressure level from the starting pressure, and determining in the control unit a lung elastic property based on a relationship between the determined filling volume of the breath gas and differences in the starting pressure and the predetermined breath gas pressure level. The method also includes determining in the control unit a respiration rate exploiting at least the lung elastic property. A corresponding arrangement is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20100137789
Abstract: A drug delivery presentation is disclosed herein. The drug delivery presentation includes a display for showing a concentration of at least two different types of drugs including a first drug and a second drug for a subject, and also for showing a coordinate system for a variable first drug concentration and a variable second drug concentration. The drug delivery presentation also includes an optimal therapy mixture area presented on a coordinate system comprising a first border section determining a minimum concentration mixture for the first drug and the second drug. The optimal therapy mixture area further comprising a second border section determining a maximum concentration mixture for the first drug and the second drug. An arrangement for a drug delivery presentation is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060058660
Abstract: An apparatus and method for synchronizing the hemodynamic measurements from a patient monitoring system and the ultrasound images from an ultrasound monitoring system. The synchronized images and measurements can be combined and displayed on a single display that includes both the ultrasound images and the hemodynamic patient measurements. The combined display receives synchronized information from both the ultrasound monitoring system and the hemodynamic patient monitoring system and displays the combined information on a single monitor. In addition to displaying the synchronized combined information, the system stores the synchronized information for later playback. The playback of the stored images and measurements is synchronized such that the clinician can be presented with the combined information in a usable manner.

  • Patent number: 6394087
Abstract: An arrangement in an anesthesia apparatus, the anesthesia apparatus comprising a filling device located by a vaporizer and an anesthetic bottle that fits the filling device, the filling device being provided with a valve device, which is arranged to open and close as needed. To provide a controlled discharging of anesthetic, the arrangement comprises a discharge space, which is connected to an interspace formed between the anesthetic bottle and the valve device located in the filling device when the anesthetic bottle is being pulled outward, and a closing member, which, as a result of the anesthetic bottle being pulled outward, is arranged to open a flow connection between the interspace and the discharge space before the connection between the anesthetic bottle and the filling device opens.
