Publication number: 20240385998Abstract: Systems and methods described herein may improve data migration between databases that store data under different schemas. Such systems and methods may be used to transform data from a first schema (e.g., tabular, such as in relational databases) to second schema (e.g., document-based, such as in some non-relational databases). In some embodiments, data transformation for database migration may be performed using at least one rule (e.g., specified by a user) specifying a logical arrangement under the second schema for transforming a grouping of source data under the first schema. For example, tables under a tabular schema may be transformed into new documents and/or fields within documents under a document-based schema in a manner specified by the transform rule(s). In some embodiments, transforming source data in this manner permits organizing the migrated data efficiently to reduce computing resources needed to migrate the data between databases and/or for future data access operations.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 15, 2024Publication date: November 21, 2024Applicant: MongoDB, Inc.Inventors: Mark Burch, Tom Hollander, David Hastwell, Poonam Meghnani, Andrew Walker

Patent number: 11526530Abstract: Provide is a visualization system that enables generation of a “dashboard” of individual visualizations. In further embodiments, the system enables users to quickly and easily generate these visualizations and integrate complex filters, queries, aggregations, etc., with simple UI input. The visualizations can be provided as a service that requests information from an underlying database. The database itself may also be hosted as a service, permitting granular and native database functions layered with the visualization architecture. The system can support additional functionality and access management to generate visualizations that can be shared with other users and/or integrated into websites, blogs, etc. The system can handle the complex logic, data interactions, dynamic data transformation, dynamic authorization, etc., needed to manage data rules (e.g., access rules layered over database permission based control, summarization/aggregation requirements, etc.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2020Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Assignee: MongoDB, Inc.Inventors: Tom Hollander, Eliot Horowitz, Thomas Rueckstiess

Publication number: 20090019744Abstract: A holder of product identification indicia incorporated with a specifically printed illuminated sign in a beverage vending machinc. The holder allows enhanced product identification relating to a separate, existing selection button panel. The holder is securely attached to the back of the illuminated sign that has clear viewing windows registered to the holder. Specifically, it is intended as a retrofit kit for existing beverage vending machines to allow the display of product contained in the machine by use of significantly larger product identification indicia than the existing product identification indicia. The larger display windows may be specifically correlated to the existing selection mechanisms, by way of numbers, letters, symbols, connecting lines and/or colors.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2007Publication date: January 22, 2009Inventors: John Myatt, Kevin Steeley, Todd Washburn, Tom Holland

Patent number: 3995698Abstract: Relates to a protective guard or shield for covering the wear area of the moldboard of a plow. The shin member of the plow assembly is provided with an integrally connected rearward extension which overlies the most serious wear area of the moldboard. The shin extension is not bolted or otherwise fastened to the moldboard but relies on a shoulder formed on the back side of the shin for engagement with the leading edge of the moldboard and the provision of a plurality of spaced apart projections on the face of the extension confronting the moldboard for bearing support thereon. The shin and its extension may be used to cover the worn area of a used moldboard or to protect such area of a new moldboard. In the latter case the projections may be ground down to provide surface contact between the shin extension and the moldboard. The shin and its extension are preferably formed of a stainless steel alloy and cast in one piece.Type: GrantFiled: July 11, 1975Date of Patent: December 7, 1976Inventors: Tom Holland Nelson, Bruce Cooper Nelson
