Publication number: 20180133131Abstract: A skin rejuvenating composition formulated to provide a first mode of action for providing relatively immediate skin tightening and wrinkle reducing effects upon application of the skin rejuvenating composition to a targeted skin region. The skin rejuvenating composition is also formulated to provide a second mode of action for providing cumulative and relatively more long-term wrinkle reduction effects, in addition to the more immediate effects. The dual modes of action work together to synergistically reduce the visibility of wrinkles to a greater degree than when either component is used in isolation.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2017Publication date: May 17, 2018Inventors: Deanna Latson, Tom Jackson

Patent number: 8756169Abstract: Technology is described that includes a method of feature specification via semantic queries. The method can include the operation of obtaining a data set having an identifier for each data row and a plurality of data features for each data row. A semantic query can be received that can be applied to the dataset that is usable by a machine learning tool. A entity feature map can be supplied that has entities and associated features for use by the machine learning tool. Further, a query structure can be analyzed using the entity feature map to identify input from the dataset for the machine learning tool.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2010Date of Patent: June 17, 2014Assignee: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Stuart Bowers, Tom Jackson, Jim Karkanias, Dave Campbell, Brian Aust

Publication number: 20060254917Abstract: A gel cassette adaptor for use with an electrophoresis system gel cassette is disclosed herein. The gel cassette adaptor allows a single gel cassette to be compatible with more than one electrophoresis system. In one example embodiment, the gel cassette adaptor includes an open sided trough having an attachment perimeter and an attachment flange coupled to the attachment perimeter. The attachment flange is designed to be compatible for mating with a gel cassette that is compatible with a first electrophoresis system. After attachment of the gel cassette adaptor, the resulting gel cassette assembly is compatible with a second electrophoresis system. Also provided is a gel cassette that includes a stabilizer post that connects the cassette plates to maintain a constant gap width between the plates during electrophoresis. In reducing deformation of the gap space between plates during gel runs, the stabilizer post can improve electrophoresis results for wide format gels.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2006Publication date: November 16, 2006Inventors: Adam Henry, Tom Jackson

Publication number: 20060254918Abstract: An expanding cam lock for use with an electrophoresis system is disclosed herein. The cam lock allows the simultaneous use of multiple slab gel cassettes in first and second buffer core assemblies in an electrophoresis system while maintaining the necessary compressive force to create a liquid-tight seal between the anode and cathode buffer solutions. In one example embodiment, the expanding cam lock includes a base plate with a first surface adapted to engage the first buffer core assembly and a follower plate having second surface adapted to engage the second buffer core assembly, buffer dam or buffer displacement dam. The base plate and the follower plate are slidably coupled together and are designed for insertion between the first buffer core assembly and the second buffer core assembly, buffer dam or buffer displacement dam in the electrophoresis container. A cam is positioned between and moveably coupled with the base plate and the follower plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2006Publication date: November 16, 2006Inventor: Tom Jackson

Patent number: 6301310Abstract: Circuitry for modulating the frequency of a carrier signal with data signals for high frequency radio transmission, which includes a MSK generator for generating a series of in-phase (I) signals and an associated series of quadrature (Q) signals corresponding to the data signals to be transmitted. A first shift register receives binary input from the I signals generated with the MSK generator, the binary input being indicative of the sign orientation of the generated I signals from the MSK generator. A second shift register receives binary input from the Q signals generated with the MSK generator, with the binary input being indicative of the sign orientation of the generated Q signals from the MSK generator.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 1998Date of Patent: October 9, 2001Assignee: Hughes Electronics CorporationInventors: Tom Jackson, Dave Roos

Patent number: 5659892Abstract: A method and system for using a low-cost, fixed output power radio in a multi-carrier communication system is disclosed herein. This system measures the output power of the multiple channel units within the system, obtains the current output power of the system, calculates a composite power and an expected power, compares the expected power and the current output power to calculate a gain adjustment value, and adjusting the output power of the system via the amplifier. The method for adjusting the power can also allow at least one of the carriers in the multi-carrier system to operate in a burst mode, and at least one of the remaining carriers to operate in a continuous mode during power measurement and gain adjustment steps.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1995Date of Patent: August 19, 1997Assignee: Hughes ElectronicsInventors: Mohammad Soleimani, D. Patent number: 5535441Abstract: A method and device for canceling frequency offsets in received modulated signals. The frequency offset cancellation device includes a downconverter module, a channel unit and a control module. The downconverter module shifts received signals to a lower frequency. The channel unit searches the shifted received signals and demodulates them, and the control module adjusts the downconverter in accordance with frequency offset information generated by the channel unit, thereby continuously cancelling out any frequency offsets that may have occurred during frequency shifting.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1994Date of Patent: July 9, 1996Assignee: Hughes Electronics Corp.Inventors: Tom Jackson, Henry Eck, Ray Lowe
