  • Patent number: 11470189
Abstract: A method is disclosed for providing network access by a network stack in a communication device comprising a plurality of physical communication interfaces, each comprising a data link layer for the exchange of data frames with remote communication devices and a data link layer interface for exchanging data of data frames between the data link layer and higher layers in the network stack; and wherein the method comprises i) providing an abstraction data link layer comprising a single abstracted data link layer interface such that the plurality of physical communication interfaces appear as a single data link layer interface to the higher layers; and ii) obtaining network packets from the higher layers and distributing the network packets over the plurality of physical communication interfaces according to a neutral packet distribution scheme.

  • Patent number: 6209721
Abstract: This invention concerns a sports bag such as a golf bag equipped with an organizer insert. In another aspect the invention concerns an organizer insert for a sports bag such as a golf bag. The invention involves an apertured plate, with each aperture being sized and shaped to comfortably receive, for example, a golf club handle. Side walls extend below the plate to define a single compartment beneath each aperture. A spacer is associated with the side walls to keep them in fixed relationship with each other as they extend downwards. A retainer is associated with each compartment to grip a golf club handle and resist its removal from the bag. Golf club handles may be dropped or pushed into the bag through the apertures in the plate. They are gripped by the retainers and are kept relatively still inside their respective compartments. In this way the clubs will be retained in fixed relative locations within the bag, and will be unlikely to fall out of the bag during normal handling.

  • Patent number: 5232274
Abstract: A hamper constructed to have an upper rim over which a disposable waste bag may be suspended in an open condition, and a hinged frame which serves to clamp the upper end of the bag to the rim. The bag may then be conveniently loaded. A hinged lid is also provided for closing the hamper when not in use. The rim is supported on upright posts which, in turn, are mounted on a base supported on casters. A removable plastic tray may be mounted on the base to catch spillage. The lid and frame may be removable for cleaning purposes. The lid and frame are hinged to a rear portion of the upper rim by means of an elongated hinge, and the hinge has at least one resilient clip for removably attaching the hinge to the rear portion of the rim to permit the frame and lid to be removed from the bracket.
