  • Patent number: 10874560
Abstract: Sponges suitable for use in medical procedures may include radio-opaque material, and arranged to allow individual sponges in a set, packet or package of sponges to be readily discernable using imaging technology (e.g., X-ray) to allow accurate counting of sponges. The sponges may include wireless transponders, for instance LC resonant and/or RFID transponders. Gauze or similar material is folded to enhance the ability to count the sponges. Sponges are counted and banded or packaged to provide assurance that the count is accurate.

  • Patent number: 8506010
Abstract: A portable, submersible table and bench assembly suitable for use on land as well as in bodies of water having sloped or uneven bottom surfaces. The table and bench assembly includes a pair of benches and a central table mounted on a support frame that includes a plurality of hollow, adjustable support members or legs that are slidably received within the support frame. The hollow, adjustable support members extend downwards for contact with the ground or a sloped bottom swimming pool. The support frame includes a plurality of spaced apart perforations on the surface of downwardly extending risers that allow the entry and drainage of water, as well as adjustment of the height of the adjustable support members or legs. In addition to being light and portable, the hollow structure permits water to enter and drain through perforations and accordingly resist buoyancy when the table is immersed in water.

  • Publication number: 20030121898
Abstract: A wafer support apparatus is provided which comprises a support puck and one or more heaters coupled to the support puck for providing uniform temperature distribution across the surface of the support puck and the wafer surface. The one or more heaters are independently controllable. The wafer support apparatus may further comprise an insulation ring disposed between the support puck and a cooler housing to decouple the support puck from the housing.

  • Patent number: 6415480
Abstract: A clip mechanism for a line utilizing a first member having a first portion and a connected second portion. A second member with first and second portions connected to one another is also employed. The second member also possesses an end portion terminating in a plurality of protrusions. Each of the protrusions possesses a tip. The tips extend from the second member at different lengths such that at least, one tip lies closer to the first portion of the second member than another tip. In certain cases, the ends of the tips lie in an arcuate configuration that is particularly useful for gripping rounded lines.
