  • Publication number: 20250041034
Abstract: A suction enabled dental instrument apparatus is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus provides an elongate handpiece having a working end and an opposing interface end. A terminal face of the working end of the handpiece provides an instrument opening sized and configured for allowing an instrument end of an instrument portion positioned within the handpiece to extend a distance therethrough. A main lumen is positioned within the handpiece in fluid communication with the instrument opening and a fluid source for selectively delivering a volume of fluid from the fluid source during use of the apparatus. At least one suction lumen is also positioned within the handpiece in fluid communication with the instrument opening and a suction source for capturing fluids and dental spray generated proximal to the instrument opening during use of the apparatus for the suction source to subsequently remove.

  • Patent number: 7216184
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system and method which discovers or identifies a type of device associated with an input/output (I/O path). Preferred embodiments define a type of device by a property file. The property file is utilized to identify executable code that determines whether the device associated with a particular I/O path is the type of device defined by said property file.

  • Publication number: 20020161934
Abstract: The present invention is directed towards a system and method for the communication of computer data between at least one host and an administration system (preferably, a storage management system). In at least one embodiment, discovery data is gathered by one or more host systems (preferably by an agent residing on each of these host systems) and the structure(s) of such data is(are) defined using a markup language (preferably XML). In at least one embodiment, the data is then transported from the host systems to the storage management system via a remote procedure call (preferably an operating system independent remote procedure call such as Java RMI).
