  • Patent number: 10218905
Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus is provided with: an accessory lens mount configured to movably attach to a camera, the camera having an objective; a plurality of different optical elements attached to the accessory lens mount such that each of the different optical elements is movable to a co-operating position with the objective by the accessory lens mount to a corresponding position by a user; and an optical mode indicator configured to enable automatic optical mode adjustment of the camera to suit with the optics formed by the objective and the optical element that is moved to the co-operating position with the objective.

  • Patent number: 9769390
Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed in which an optical image connector is moved from a second position to a first position. Light is received from a first direction and accordingly forming of a first optical image on an image sensor is caused using a first optical input. The optical image connector is moved from the first position to the second position. Light is received by the optical image connector from a second optical input. The second optical input is in a direction at least 90 degrees different than the first direction. A second optical image corresponding to the received light is formed on the image sensor by the optical image connector.

  • Publication number: 20160292842
Abstract: Method, apparatus and computer programs are disclosed for forming synthesized panning of images. Based on a pair of digital images taken by a pair of digital cameras and their calibration information, a disparity map is formed for image objects in the pair of digital images. A combined image is formed using the pair of digital images. The combined image is segmented, using the disparity map, to include a foreground region and a background region. A sequence of synthesized panning images is formed so that for each combined image; a perspective shift is applied between the foreground region and background region; and a shifting portion of the perspective shifted image is cropped.

  • Patent number: 7940311
Abstract: The specification and drawings present a new method, apparatus and software product for enhancing a dynamic range of an image with a multi-exposure pixel pattern taken by an image sensor of a camera for one or more color channels, wherein a plurality of groups of pixels of the image sensor have different exposure times (e.g., pre-selected or adjusted by a user through a user interface using a viewfinder feedback, or adjusted by a user through a user interface after taking and storing RAW image, etc.). Processing of the captured image for constructing an enhanced image of the image for each of the one or more color channels can be performed using weighted combination of exposure times of pixels having different pre-selected exposure times according to a predetermined criterion.
