Abstract: A horizontal knife holder is a tray that can be used in a kitchen drawer or outside. The holder has two sides, a back, a bottom, a scalloped front, and a top portion that covers the back of the tray. Under the top portion is a plastic wire brush with a large number of stiff bristles, into which knives can be removably inserted. The tray has a soft bottom to protect users' knuckles, and the scalloped front allows for easy access to the knives.

The present invention includes three novel methods, which may be used singly or in any combination, for constraining or immobilizing powders so that they can be perfused with a biological fluid or dialysate: a porous carbon block filter, a filtration bed of very fine powder, and a cone-shaped reactor.

In some embodiments, sterilization tray bases may be formed to have slots or apertures to accommodate features of the disclosed fasteners. For example, in some embodiments, the disclosed sterilization tray fasteners include an elongate body and two curved arms that can extend into apertures of the sterilization tray bases. Abstract: A composition for cleaning a beverage container is disclosed. The composition first comprises mixing predetermined amounts of D-Limonene with a surfactant wherein this mixture is then added to an amount of water and dissolved. The resulting dissolved mixture of these three ingredients is used to clean an empty rinsed out beverage container for removing odor from the beverage container for reuse.

Abstract: A multilayered bamboo article and a method for making the same is disclosed. Strips of bamboo with roughly square cross sections are secured together into layers in which the layer has parallel grain orientations. These layers are then combined together in perpendicular grain orientations to form a multilayered bamboo article. The bamboo strips and layers are secured together using a glue resistant to high temperatures when cured resulting in a strong multilayered bamboo article resistant to the effects of hot water.

Abstract: A profit-sharing incentive system for account vendors is described. In one implementation, systems and methods estimate an up-front profit share incentive to be paid to a merchant for opening a merchant account that enables credit card payments. The up-front profit share is estimated from parameters such as the merchant's transaction volume and a discount rate. At the beginning of each new profit sharing period, the up-front profit share may be renewed. An online system for marketing merchant accounts can advertise and electronically transfer the up-front profit share amount that is customized for the merchant. The merchant can initiate the process online using a system website. A user interface displays numerous parameters and monetary values associated with a given merchant account, including monthly profit flowing to a processing entity and a current commodity value of the merchant account.

The inventive device includes a vertical series of planar support members aligned parallel to one another, a left scissors bracket pivotally secured to the bottom portion of said planar support members, a right scissors bracket secured to the bottom portion of said planar support member opposite of the left scissors bracket where said scissors brackets allow the series of planar support members to extend vertically upward, a recessed handle on the cornice of the top planar support member, and a securing means to retain a swaged shape for the invention when in the storage position. The series of planar support members fit within each other to form a swaged shape for storage.
