    Abstract: The invention relates to an additional equipment for a drilling rig (10) in order to enable hauling-up and lowering, respectively, of a pipe in a borehole. On the derrick (16) of the drilling rig (10), a lower carriage (34) for a catcher means (36) of the hauling-up device is disposed. The carriage (34) is displaceable up and down along the derrick (16). An upper carriage (30) carrying a drilling machine (24) is also displaceable up and down along the derrick (16). The carriage (34) of the hauling-up device is permanently interconnected to a driven transmission mechanism (48) providing up and downward movements along the derrick (16). During the drilling operations, the two carriages (30, 34) are interconnected. During the hauling-up/lowering operations, the two carriages (30, 34) are uncoupled from each other, and, then, the carriage (30) of the drilling machine (24) is coupled to the derick (16).
