  • Patent number: 9678938
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for a templated export. In one embodiment, a method may include determining an export template responsive to a first user action, the first user action indicating a delivery endpoint. The method may further include preparing an asset for delivery to the delivery endpoint utilizing the export template. The asset may include zero or more files. The export template may include predetermined configuration and delivery parameters particular to the delivery endpoint. The prepared asset may be communicated to the delivery endpoint without any further user action.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 18, 2015
Date of Patent: June 13, 2017
    Assignee: Open Text SA ULC
Inventors: Michael Scott, Tom Trainer, Richard Guildford Hellier, Jr.
  • Patent number: 9514215
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a new way to catalog digital assets derived or otherwise created from an original source such as a video, clip, movie, film, or the like. In one embodiment, time-based metadata, along with technical metadata and business metadata can be captured within a video and collected locally at a client device running media catalog client software. The collected information can be communicated to a media catalog server at the back end. The media catalog server can create a new asset based on the collected information and store the asset in a database. Multiple assets may be created to describe and reference the same video. However, the video itself is not modified and no variation of the video is created in anyway.

  • Patent number: 8959113
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for managing metadata, including scalar, text, drop-down, type ahead, and tabular metadata related to digital assets. Restrictions may be set at the metadata field level to allow users of different user groups to view fields based on restriction classes. A metadata management tool may allow an administrator to restrict one or more metadata fields associated with a digital asset in a network with a restriction class. The restricted fields may be associated with one or more user groups in the network. Only users in the user groups associated with the restriction class can view the restricted fields, in addition to the digital asset and any unrestricted fields associated therewith. When searching tabular metadata, a ‘row oriented’ search function may retrieve only assets where the search criteria are matched by a single row.
