Abstract: The method to forward a packet according to predefined protocol steps applies to a sensor personal area network that includes data communication sensor devices. The method includes assigning a predefined compression value to a compression field in the packet for indicating that a source network identifier of the originator of the packet is assumed to be equal to a destination network identifier of an intended recipient of the packet. Furthermore, the method includes assigning a predefined label switching value lsv to an addressing mode field DAM-F in the packet P for indicating that the above mentioned protocol steps further include a label switching principle that must be applied to forward the packet. Finally the method includes using a source network identifier field SNI-F of the packet for storing and retrieving the label value lab1 for application of the label switching principle based thereon.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a security module for use in management of a TR-069 Object Model of a device. The Object Model comprises a plurality of parameters for selection by a view selector module based on credentials and for defining thereby an object model view associated to the device. The security module comprises means for associating the object model view to a security policy and means for configuring the security attributes of the security policy on an intermediate network entity.

Abstract: The present application describes a Qos module for use in a home network that comprises a plurality of devices and a home gateway. The home gateway is enabled to receive a multicast stream and to forward the multicast stream to at least one of the devices under control of a multicast proxy module. The Qos module further comprises the multicast proxy module for also sending, upon reception of a multicast join message from one of the devices for joining the multicast stream, a Quality of Service request. The Quality of Service request comprising an address of the home gateway and an address of said device. The Qos module further comprises a unicast Quality of Service control module for reception of the Quality of Service request and for sending a unicast Quality of Service event message in order to request thereby provision of Quality of Service for the multicast stream when being forwarded from the home gateway to the device.

Abstract: The invention concerns using sensorML to facilitate the installation of software for interaction with sensors, preferably within a home network with a service gateway (100). According to the invention, a management framework (130) is provided to manage a sensor controlling means, adapted to transmit management instructions to said sensor controlling means, and to receive information in sensorML format, wherein the information comprises software identification information. According to another aspect of the invention, a method is provided for retrieving software identification information pertaining to a sensor in a network, comprising accessing a sensorML document (400), and extracting software identification information from it.
